Now, you’re probably wondering what’s the best starter deck in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel. After completing the tutorial and learning the basics, you’ll be presented with three deck options. Your choice here does not matter all that much, as you will be able to acquire the decks you did not select by completing missions in the game. As for which one to pick, if you’re someone well-versed in Yu-Gi-Oh, you’ll probably just go with the one you like most or maybe the one you haven’t played before. We’ll give an overview of each deck below.

Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel Starting Decks

  • Power of the Dragon
  • Synchro of Unity
  • Link Generation

Power of the Dragon

A powerful Deck that focuses on Dragon Type Monsters with high Attack Power, such as “Blue-Eyes White Dragon.” If you have all the Fusion Materials on the Field and summon King Dragun, you’ll be well protected! The Dragon deck is not particularly good overall, aside from maybe Silver’s Cry and Blue-Eyes.

Main Deck

  • Luster Dragon x3
  • Divine Dragon Ragnarok x2
  • Blue-Eyes White Dragon x2
  • Twin-Headed Behemoth x1
  • Dark – Hex-Sealed Fusion x2
  • Kidmodo Dragon x2
  • Lord of D. x2
  • Lancer Dragonute x2
  • Axe Dragonute x2
  • Kaiser Glider x2
  • Strong Wind dragon
  • The Fluter of Summoning Dragon x2

  • Ring of Destruction x2
  • Threatening Roar x2
  • Defense Draw x2

Extra Deck

  • King Dragun x3
  • Five-Headed Dragon x2

Synchro of Unity

A Deck focuses on Warrior-type Monsters. Once the conditions are met, Synchro Summon a Monster like Junk Warrior to boost your Attack Points! The Synchro of Unity deck is perhaps the best of the three because of the three Mystical Space Typhoons, some Synchro monsters, and Junks. If you are torn between what to pick, Synchro of Unity is probably the most popular pick.

Main Deck

  • Turbo Synchron x2
  • Speed Warrior x3
  • Nitro Synchron x2
  • Shield Wing x2
  • Junk Synchron x3
  • Shine Knight x2
  • Max Warrior x3

  • Synchro Deflector x2
  • Limiter Overload x2

Extra Deck

  • Junk Warrior
  • Flamvell Uruquizas
  • Turbo Warrior
  • Nitro Warrior
  • Colossal Fighter

A deck that utilizes Cyberse Monsters for their power-up potential. Go on the offensive and use “Decode Talker” to prevent effects that target Cards on your Field! Link Generation may not appear to have many good cards in it, but they are perhaps the most valuable for starting out. Decode can be difficult to craft, and Link Spider can be useful.

Main Deck

  • Protron x2
  • Digitron x2
  • Link Generation x2
  • Texchanger x3
  • Backlinker x1
  • Launcher Commander x3
  • Bitrooper x2
