Will more classes be added to Warhammer 40K: Darktide?

Classes for the class throne.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide currently hosts four different classes. The Ogryn, the Veteran, the Zealot, and the Psyker. Each of these classes serve their own purposes and have their own playstyle, so a strike team consisting of all four of them makes a very well-rounded team. Many people have been curious as to whether there will be more of a selection after full-release. Will more classes be added to Warhammer 40K: Darktide?

Will more classes be added to the game?

There are four classes in the game, each, however, with only one character. Players have been disappointed by this, wanting more variety inside the classes themselves. The classes may be great, but people generally want more.

This frustration may stem from the fact that Vermintide 2 has over a dozen playable characters, each separated into five classes. With such range being displayed by the predecessor, people expected more from Darktide. It has been so anticipated that people can’t help but feel upset with the game.

However, the game is merely in its closed beta. The classes and characters presented to us were merely selected for the test purposes. It has been confirmed by Fatshark that more playable characters are on the way, but nothing has been released about them.

We should hold out hope that more playable characters will be released after launch, either right away or later on. Fatshark will want to make sure that the data collected from the beta has been properly exercised (so bugs squashed and balances made) before the other characters are fully implemented.

So, we will be seeing more classes sooner or later after the full release.
