MLB The Show 23 has ramped up it’s promotional roll out. With it comes announcement such as covers, editions, game modes, and more. There’s always a sense of hope and dread when this happens as fans wait with baited breath for the return of heavily requested features. One of the biggest requested features is year-to-year saves. After the game was rebuilt, the feature was removed and has yet to come back. Is this the year it finally returns?
Will MLB The Show 23 Have Year to Year Saves
Year-to-year saves are saves that carry your progression between iterations of the game series. Meaning something like Road to the Show, fans can take their time building their player as they can just pick up where they left off from the previous game. As it stands, players have to scramble to complete the mode before the new game releases. It’s been years since the feature was removed and stands as one that fans ask for yearly.
Unfortunately, there will be no year-to-year saves for MLB The Show 23. Not for Road to the Show, franchise, or any other mode. So, if you’ve been planning to buy the new one and have barely made a dent in your preferred mode, just know you’ll be starting from scratch with the new one.
You’ll have cross-save, at least. Meaning if you play through streaming on PC game pass or through the PS5, you will be able to carry over and continue your save. It’s little solace to those who were hoping for their progression to carry over, but it’s still notable.
