If you’re anything like me, then you are extremely excited to see what BioWare is going to offer players with the next installment of their long-running, fan-favorite franchise, Dragon Age. Titled, Dragon Age: DreadWolf, this fourth installment will bring an even larger world for players to inhabit and live out their own RPG fantasies in.
Certainly, a feature that players have been curious to know about when it comes to this new title is whether or not it will feature any kind of multiplayer. Whether online multiplayer or local co-op, this is something that fans of this epic franchise are eager to see in this ambitious upcoming title. But will Dragon Age: DreadWolf have online multiplayer? Let’s explain what we know so far!
Will Dragon Age: DreadWolf Have Online Multiplayer? Answered
As far as it goes currently, there has been no indication from BioWare or EA as to whether or not Dragon Age: DreadWolf will have multiplayer of any kind. Though, it’s worth noting that BioWare’s General Manager, Gary McKay just recently announced that the game had hit its Alpha Milestone, meaning that the team can play the game in its entirety and it gives them the chance to iron things out in preparation for its eventual release.
Multiplayer has actually played a part in Dragon Age in the past, with its third entry to the franchise, Dragon Age: Inquisition being the first to include multiplayer, and it was online co-op to boot. Though players loading into the hosts game really had nothing to earn from the experience, it was at least a step in the right direction. So could this be a feature the team is working to include during this next phase of the production cycle?

With as far as online multiplayer in the industry has come since Inquisition, it’s fair to assume that DreadWolf will have some kind of online multiplayer co-op. But who’s to say how deep it would go? They could implement a sort of co-op similar to Ubisoft’s own Tom Clancy’s: The Division series which sees players joining into hosted games, but still reaping some reward from it.
So while nothing has been confirmed, judging by the last game, there’s no reason to rule online multiplayer out of Dragon Age: DreadWolf’s equation since BioWare has included such a feature in the past. But that’s all we know so far. Be sure to check out more of our Dragon Age: DreadWolf coverage as more news breaks!
