Where to Sell Items and Equipment in Like a Dragon: Ishin

One man's trash is another man's treasure.

I won’t claim to know what the members of the Shinsengumi made, salary-wise, but if Like a Dragon: Ishin is any indication, they made exactly bupkis. Being a street-patroling swordsman of justice doesn’t put cash in your wallet, surprisingly, so sometimes, you need to secure some other sources of income. Here’s where to sell items and equipment in Like a Dragon: Ishin.

Where to Sell Items and Equipment in Like a Dragon: Ishin

Whether your inventory is full to bursting or you’re just in dire need of some pocket money, you can sell items and equipment from your inventory or from your item box to make some space and score some cash. In fact, selling off the various plates you receive from the Prize Wheel and side quests (Gold Plate, Platinum Plate, etc.) will be one of your best sources of income.

Of course, much like in real life, you can’t just visit any random store and expect the shopkeeper to take whatever random junk is rattling around in your pockets. You can only sell items and equipment to a specific type of store: Pawn shops.

Finding and Using Pawn Shops

The most accessible pawn shop is Ebisu Pawn, located in the southern district of Fushimi. It’s the big store located one alley to the left of the main thoroughfare with the large red banners out front. The friendly pawnbroker at the counter has a stash of rare (and expensive) items for sale, but he’s also the only one in town who will buy items and equipment from you.

If you choose his sell option, you can sell any item from your inventory or item box for ryo and mon. Just select all the items you want to sell, including any duplicate items as a single stack, and press the confirm button to sell it all for a lump sum. Not only will you receive cash for selling stuff, but you’ll also receive Virtue, which you can redeem at temples for character upgrades. The only catch is that you won’t get the exact same price selling an item as you did buying it, so don’t think you can pull a fast one here.

Whenever you need some cash or just have a bunch of random crud cluttering your inventory, remember to visit the friendly faces at Ebisu Pawn! They’ll take whatever you got, no questions asked.
