Does this location even exist?

In Warzone 2.0 DMZ there are many keys which open different doors on the Map. These reward players with new loot and upgrades. From new weaponry to use, to upgraded armor. To obtain these keys however, is a tough task in itself for these keys are randomly generated. Not only this but, should you die with the key in your possession, the key will be lost. For those who are in possession of the Fort Barrack Key, there is a lot of speculation as to what door it opens. Because of this, no one really knows where to go after getting the Fort Barrack Key. How to Obtain Keys in DMZ

There is not a set objective to obtaining the special keys in DMZ. Rather what players need to do is go on a looting expedition in search for the keys. These are randomly generated where they can drop or be found in various lootable objects. You can find keys through looting caches, supply boxes, duffel bags and on the bodies of dropped enemies. We recommend targeting high-value enemies such as armored enemies and those that take much longer to take down with bullets. There are two types of keys available in DMZ. Only one is crucial to upgrading weaponry and armor. These keys types are:

  • Location Keys (POI) – Appear as a yellow icon in your inventory. The keys unlock a door at a specific location, rewarding players with higher tiered loot.
  • Object Keys – These open caches, toolboxes and lockers.

The best method to reward yourself with more of the special keys is by visiting the Downtown Post Office in Al-Mazrah City. You can find this with the coordinates of F4, located on the south-west side of the City. This can be located via the Mail icon on the Map. However, you need a key to get into this building which is a journey in itself. Whilst you may obtain the Fort Barrack Key the same way as finding the Post Office Key, we recommend searching for the Post Office Key first. Through the looting of duffel bags, crates and by killing enemies and looting their bodies. Once the key is found, enter the Post Office and search it in full. Opening of the accessible mail boxes. This will reward you with an average of 5 keys.

The Fort Barrack Key Location

There is an issue currently with the Fort Barrack Key. That is that this key does not appear to have a corresponding door for the Barrack Key to unlock. Not a single player has found the location of what this key unlocks. Not only this but, there are talks that this key is bugged and is in fact another form of the Al Bagra Barrack Key. For some players, this Fort Key has worked when using it on the Al Bagra Barrack door. If the conclusion is that this key is a bugged variation of the Al Bagra Key, here is the location of the door where you can try the Barrack Key out for yourself.

You need to head to Al Bagra Fortress and head to the eastern-side of the Fortress. For easy access, you can enter this area via the south-east wall. Refer to the screenshot below for an exact location of the entrance into the Fortress (green ‘1’ icon) and the Barrack (red dot on the map). Inside this building (red dot) there are two Barrack doors to open. Try the Fort Barrack Key on both doors. This may or may not work as some players have found success using this key on these doors. However do not have your hopes too high in it opening the Al Bagra doors as another key is meant for them.

Many guides on all DMZ Key Locations do not include the location for the Fort Barrack Key. It is likely that this is a bug which Activision needs to fix for there being a duplicate key for the Al Bagra Fortress. If the Fort Barrack Key does have an alternate location in which this key unlocks a different door, this article will be updated. For now though, all we have is the assumption that this key is bugged. There is speculation that the Fort Key is used inside the Sattiq Cave System but once again there is no concrete evidence to suggest that this is true.

We hope this guide clears some confusion on the Barrack Keys in DMZ. Should there be any concrete evidence that suggests that the Fort Key is in fact not a bugged variation of the Al Bagra Fort Key, this article will be updated. But for now, we can safely assume that this key does not open any special door.
