Where to find Water Balloons for Riley in Sports Story

Time to go on a trading spree.

‘Member that one episode of Ed, Edd n Eddy where the Eds had to engage in a series of increasingly ridiculous trades with the neighborhood kids just so they could get a single egg from Rolf? Those kinds of trading sequences can be a bit of a headache, but who knows, you might just end up with something cool at the end! Here’s where to find Water Balloons for Riley in Sports Story.

Where to find Water Balloons for Riley in Sports Story

A few days into your stay at the Tennis Academy, after you babysit the tykes at the baby court, your classmates will ask you to come to the clearing next to the purple courts. When you arrive, your classmate Riley will show you a ball launcher they found. They want to launch some Water Balloons at the buff tennis player on the court as a bit of payback for earlier, but they couldn’t find any. That’s where you come in.

Before you can get Water Balloons, you need to make a quick pit stop. Run past Riley and the launcher to the left fence of the court. Run past the bloke above you and around the hedges to reach a hidden path that leads down to the next screen. Follow the path through the hole in the fence until you come upon a chest containing… Felt Pens? Those aren’t Water Balloons, but you’re going to need them.

Making the Trade

By this point of the game, you’ve likely noticed the many students and faculty members around the Academy with trading symbols over their heads. It’s finally time to put those trades into action, starting with these Felt Pens.

  1. Talk to the kid next to the library entrance on the first floor of the Academy to trade the Felt Pens for the Expired Card.
  2. Talk to the kid in the western hallway of the second floor to trade the Expired Card for a 2-Sided Pencil.
  3. Talk to the kid at the table in the library to trade the 2-Sided Pencil for a jug of Coconut Oil.
  4. Talk to the two kids stuck together in front of the Academy to trade the Coconut Oil for a bottle of Glue.
  5. Talk to the student in front of Classroom 3 on the first floor of the Academy to trade the Glue for the Whisk.
  6. Talk to the staff member behind the counter in the cafeteria to trade the Whisk for the box of Old Chips.
  7. Talk to the shaking kid on the left side of the Academy building to trade the Old Chips for the Glasses.
  8. Take the top-right path from the Academy to find the old man next to the pond and trade him the Glasses for the Wifi Password.
  9. Talk to the kid out in front of the Academy grounds to trade the Wifi Password for a Bottle Cap.
  10. Talk to the kid around the back of the Academy building to trade the Bottle Cap for the Water Balloons.

Return to Riley near the purple courts to hand over the Water Balloons. They’ll gleefully begin loading them into the ball launcher… and then we immediately smash-cut to the lot of you in detention. Oh well, it was worth it.
