Where to Find Thunder Stones in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet – Map and All Locations

Do you need a Thunder Stone? Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are here. Although the game has a number of bugs and glitches thus far, we can expect an update to resolve these issues. The battling of Gym Leaders has returned, alongside the new gameplay experience of catching Pokémon in their natural habitat in the open world of the new Paldea region. Evolution stones return to this installment, giving players different methods of leveling up Pokémon and building that Pokedex. For instance, there’s the Thunder Stone. Here are the Thunder Stone Locations in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

What are Thunder Stones?

Thunder Stones are one of the many evolution stones in Pokémon. Like other stones, Thunder Stones can be used to evolve a specific set of Pokémon in the game. It promotes world exploration and for players to specifically search for rare loot that is scattered around the new Paldea region. The evolution stones available in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are:

What Pokemon Can Thunder Stones Evolve?

These stones are used to evolve specific Pokémon in the game such as:

  • Pikachu to Raichu
  • Eevee to Jolteon
  • Eelektrik to Eelektross

In Scarlet and Violet, the Thunder Stone can be used on all of these Pokémon listed above.

Thunder Stone Locations – How to Find

As of now, there are three Thunder Stone locations. These are as follows:

Levincia

  • Behind the Levincia building overlooking the sea. Players can find this stone in between the trees, right next to the railing.

Casseroya Lake

  • The second of the Thunder Stone locations is on one of the Casseroya Lake Islands. This can be found at the highest point of this Island, right beside a rock. When looking for this stone, head to the highest point and look for the beam of light indicating there is an item below it. The Thunder Stone can be found before arriving at the single tree at the hill peak.

West Province Area 1

The final location is on the far-left wind turbine north of the river in West Province Area 1. The Thunder Stone can be found on the top of the turbine.

Where to Buy the Thunder Stones

Cascarrafa, Levincia and Mesagoza

Thunder Stones can not only be obtained by exploring the vast open world of the Paldea region but, players can purchase the Thunder Stone in the stores inside Cascarrafa, Levincia and Mesagoza. The amount to buy a Thunder Stone is the same as purchasing a Fire, Water and Leaf Stone, sitting at 3000 Pokémon Dollars. If players wanted to evolve Pikachu, Eevee and Eelektrik then players could purchase a Thunder Stone and search for other stones in the areas mentioned above. As of its initial release, these are the known Thunder Stone locations.
