If you’re getting your feet wet in the narrative and controls of Microids and Aesir Interactive’s newest release, Horse Tales: Emerald Valley Ranch, then you may be starting to get comfortable with the gameplay it has to offer.
Horse Tales isn’t just a one-trick pony (pun intended), offering not just horse care but the ability to carry out quests and rebuild the world around you. Both come to a head early on as you work to make your way to your new home, Emerald Estate.
But as you get to the Emerald Estate, you notice a huge mess of tree roots/trunks in the way of the path, blocking you from it. A character, Matteo, tasks you with retrieving his Gas Can so that he can refuel his chainsaw and clear the path. But you may be wondering where to find the gas can in Horse Tales: Emerald Valley Ranch. Well, we can explain where it is!
Where to Find the Gas Can in Horse Tales: Emerald Valley Ranch
While you’ll accept this quest from Matteo just outside of Emerald Estate, you’ll actually have to backtrack to the Harbor which is the same location where you started the game. Head up to the hill to Vantage Point and back down the other side towards Cherry Tree Way.
On the way back, you’ll need to speak with Gabriel at the destroyed bridge and repair it with wood. It won’t take much to repair it, so just pick some up nearby in order to acquire what you need to fix it up. Once you’ve done that, head through Cherry Tree Way and into the Harbor.

To get your hands on the Gas Can, go to where you first met Gabriel at the start of the game and you’ll see a bunch of old barrels with a red Gas Can sitting on top. Interact with the Gas Can to pick it up.
Once you’ve got it in your inventory, head back to Matteo at Emerald Estate and give it to him. He’ll clear the path instantly and you’ll be able to head directly into the estates.
Well, now you have all of the information you’ll need in order to find that Gas Can for Matteo in Horse Tales: Emerald Valley Ranch! Be sure to check out more of our Horse Tales: Emerald Valley Ranch guides as they come out!
