What are Shiny Stones?

Shiny Stones are one of the many evolution stones as part of Pokémon lore. Since Blue, Red and Yellow, evolution stones have been a part of the gameplay to evolve a specific set of Pokémon. This gives players more opportunity to search the open world of Paldea to obtain these stones. The evolution stone, Shiny, can evolve the Pokémon:

  • Togetic to Togekiss
  • Roselia to Roserade
  • Floette to Florges
  • Minccino to Cinccino

In Scarlet and Violet, Floette is currently the only known Pokémon which can be evolved using the Shiny Stone. But with the addition of 100+ new Gen 9 Pokémon, there is surely multiple new Pokémon to add onto the Shiny Stone Pokémon list.

Shiny Stone Locations

Similar to the Dusk Stone, the Shiny Stone cannot be bought in the Paldea stores. Instead, players must roam the open world, searching for these evolution stones. These are the known Shiny Stone locations in Paldea.

  • The first Shiny Stone location is outside of Alfornada. Go to the body of water at the end of the river. See the screenshot below of the specific location. Here, the Shiny Stone can be located in between two trees beside the body of water.

  • Along the Socarrat Trail, on the edge of the map, there is a small, elevated area which you can jump onto using the legendary Pokémon Miraidon and Koraidon. You cannot climb these without riding on Miraidon and Koraidon. The Shiny Stone can be found on top of here.
