Although, as of its initial release there are complaints on the game’s performance. The glitches and bugs will hopefully be resolved quickly with an update.

What are Moon Stones?

Moon Stones are used to evolve a specific set of Pokémon. Examples of Pokémon that can be evolved are:

  • Jigglypuff into Wigglytuff
  • Nidorina into Nidoqueen
  • Clefairy into Clefable
  • Munna into Musharna

As of Scarlet and Violet’s initial release, it is only certain that the Moon Stone can evolve Jigglypuff as the Pokedex does not include the other examples on the list. However, it is likely that a new unique set of Pokémon can be evolved with the Moon Stone as Scarlet and Violet introduces 100+ new Gen 9 Pokémon into the new Paldea Pokedex.

Moon Stone Locations

These are the two locations you can find the Moon Stones in the Paldea region.

  • In this great crater area, resembling a dried-up riverbed, walk through, passing Shinx Pokémon. You will see an area of grass with a tree, the only bit of nature in this corner of the riverbed. The Moon Stone can be found here, noticeable by the beam of light as the object indication for players.
