The latest Pokémon instalment by Developer, Game Freak is here and with it comes the introduction of 100+ new Pokémon of Generation 9. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has added many new Pokémon into its vast open world of the Paldea regions. With new behavioral traits and characteristics to bring these new Pokémon to life, players have the new challenge of building a brand new Pokedex. As Pokémon fans all know, with two versions of an instalment releasing comes the exclusive content and Pokémon. Pokémon Violet includes the exclusive Pokémon, Eiscue, a Generation 8 Ice-Type Pokémon. But where can players find Eiscue in Pokémon Violet?
Location of Eiscue in Pokémon Violet
Locate Eiscue in the Northern habitats of Paldea:
- Area One of North Province
- North Paldean Sea
- Area Three of North Province
Eiscue appears as a level 20-50 depending on which area you are visiting. We recommend players head North, into the colder climates. Eiscue is located at the very tip of the map, having a full reach across the Northern map border. They loves swimming in the sea, as a floating cube head bobbing away in the waters. Eiscue also wanders the sandy beaches. These Pokemon spawn a lot, so players do not need to worry about ever missing out on catching one.
Why Players Should Catch Eiscue
Whilst Eiscue is not a particularly strong Pokémon, they have a useful defensive ability which protects the user from incoming damage. Although, this barrier can be broken, it quickly restores in Hail. If players are looking to build a team which predominately uses Ice-Type Pokémon then Eiscue is helpful. Aside from that, there may be more viable options when building a powerful team to take on the Gym Leaders. As a Pokémon, exclusive only to Pokémon Violet, players will want to catch Eiscue anyway to have something that those who are playing Pokémon Scarlet do not.
Eiscue appears in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Pokedex, therefore players on Pokémon Scarlet will need to trade with those playing on Violet to reach 100% completion on their Pokedex. The exclusive Pokémon is a welcoming concept as it promotes the old school reason for releasing two versions of the game.
