Where to Find Dusk Stones in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Where to Find Dusk Stones in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

It’s mildly disconcerting that otherwise abstract concepts like darkness and malice are tangible forces in the world of Pokémon. That’s Misdreavus’ entire deal, as an example; it screams in peoples’ ears to harvest the emotional energy produced from their fear. Maybe it’s not such a great idea to be empowering these forces with something like a Dusk Stone, but hey, gotta catch ‘em all, even if it means tampering with spooky forces. Here’s where to find Dusk Stones in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Much like their counterpart, Dawn Stones, Dusk Stones have a fairly limited use as an evolutionary stone. They can only be used to evolve the following two Pokémon:

  • Misdreavus into Mismagius
  • Murkrow into Honchkrow

Presumably due to this limited application, there are only a handful of Dusk Stones to be found in the game.

There are three placed to find a Dusk Stone in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl:

  1. Galactic Warehouse
  2. Grand Underground
  3. Victory Road

Galactic Warehouse

After you defeat Candice, Gym Leader of Snowpoint City, and investigate Lake Acuity, you’ll find yourself at Team Galactic’s Warehouse in Veilstone City. There’s a Galactic Grunt outside of the warehouse, and upon their defeat, they’ll drop a Storage Key. Use this key in a locked room in the warehouse, and you’ll find a Dusk Stone on the ground.

Grand Underground

When you first get to Sunnyshore City, take a jaunt into the Grand Underground and seek out the largest Pokémon Hideaway on the map. This is an area known as Bogsunk Cavern, and if you scope the whole thing out, you should find a Dusk Stone on the ground.

Victory Road

Finally, after you’ve completed the Sinnoh Dex and obtained the National Dex, return to Victory Road. In the northwest corner of the first floor, there’s a man in overalls blocking a door. Once you’ve got the National Dex and are in the Hall of Fame, he’ll let you pass through. At the end of a passage full of Trainers and Strength boulders, you’ll find the Dusk Stone on the ground.

It is also technically possible to obtain extra Dusk Stones by having a Pokémon with the Pickup ability in your party, though the odds of this are only around 10%, so it’s not exactly reliable.
