Bonelab’s entire narrative structure is built around puzzles and tests. Everything you do, everything you need to do is a challenge of some sort. You wouldn’t think something as simple as opening a door would be that complicated, for instance, but by gum, they found a way to make it complicated. Here’s where to find a battery in the Museum Basement in Bonelab.
Where to Find a Battery in Museum Basement in Bonelab
At one point in Bonelab’s campaign, you find yourself in the basement of the museum, a large, relatively featureless room. The only way out of this room is a door, and the only way to open this door is to find the battery pack that powers it up. So where is the battery? Well, remember when I said “relatively featureless?” That’s because the room’s most prominent feature is a large, playground-like castle structure.

Atop this structure is the battery you need for the door, and getting up there is actually pretty straightforward. If you’re facing the front of the castle where its entrance is located, there should be a blue, cylindrical pillar on your left. Just climb right up that thing, and the battery should be right there in grabbing distance at the top.
Doors of Possibility
With battery in hand, go over to the door and shove that thing right into its slot. There’s a big red button you’ll need to push to open the door, though rather than just opening it, the button needs to stay held for a few seconds to open it all the way. It closes quickly, so you’ll need to duck under right after letting go of the button.
The next room also has a battery-locked door, but thankfully, this one’s a little easier to deal with. Right next to the door is a little raised platform, on the far side of which is another door with a red button to open it. Smack that button to open the door and find a little passage with a chest, within which is the battery. Bring it back, slam it into the door, and voila: you’re free to go.
The key to solving puzzles in Bonelab is to look at the world around you objectively. Don’t just think about where a regular person could stash a secret, look everywhere you could possibly reach. If it can hold a secret, it’s worth checking!
