What is Chaos Flame?
Chaos Flame is a material given out in God of War Ragnarök, with a singular purpose. As can be guessed by the name, Chaos Flame can be used to upgrade and enhance the Blades of Chaos. These upgrades are critical going into the game, as the deeper you get in, the more stronger and powerful opponents you face. Mastery of both the Leviathan Axe and Blades of Chaos are essential, as each weapon specializes in either single target combat or crowd control.
While quite the useful material, acquiring Chaos Flame is easier said than done. Chaos Flame is one of the rarest materials to get in the game, alongside Frozen Flame. Players may attempt to scour the world in search of these flames, but it would be in vain. As Chaos Flame is not something, found, but given in the game. This is most likely an attempt by Santa Monica Studios to encourage players to go through the game naturally.
How to get Chaos Flame?
There is only one way to get Chaos Flame in the game. Fortunately for players, it’s pretty simple: play the game. As players complete encounters and defeat bosses, Chaos Flame will be given to them. In turn they can be used to upgrade the Blades of Chaos. For those wishing to upgrade the Blades even further, they must play through more of the game.
Chaos Flames are easy to spot once dropped, though on the off chance players miss one, they can be retrieved. Simply go to the crafting station with Brok and Sindri, locate a large chest, and any materials you may have missed will be there.
