Where to Find Jewelfish in Moonstone Island

While completing quests in Moonstone Island, you’ll find that the Summer Temple requires specific items, and one is a Jewelfish on the first altar. Thankfully, you can find a Jewelfish in the waters just outside the temple during Summer. It may take a few tries to fish one out of the seas, so prepare for the long haul. But don’t give up!

You may find yourself lucky enough to land a Jewelfish in other waters, but outside the Summer Temple appears to be the most common.

How to Fish in Moonstone Island

However, you must first learn how to fish in Moonstone Island to catch a Jewelfish successfully. Thankfully, it’s relatively easy.

First and foremost, you need a fishing rod. You can acquire one at Tobin’s Shop, down in the southeast of the island, by the beach. It will cost 200 gold, but that’s a modest sum when you consider how much fun and gold you can earn through fishing in Moonstone Island.

Once you have your fishing rod, please select it from your inventory or tool wheel, then head to the nearest body of water. From there, hit the action button and cast the line into the waves. Next, wait for a bite. You’ll know you have a fish hooked by the red exclamation point, which then activates the fishing mini-game. You need to control the movement of the fish to align it with the circle to obtain a perfect catch.

It does take some getting used to, though. I’ll admit, I’m terrible at fishing mini-games in video games, and yet I managed to get the hang of this one after a few tries.
