What is Roblox Heat? The Controversial Viral TikTok Trend Explained

I'll Take 'Things That Shouldn't Exist' for $500, Alex!

It goes without saying that the internet can be both a fascinating, fantastic place and a miserable pool of refuse filled with the worst humanity has to offer. Even a platform designed for and (mostly) populated by children isn’t an exception, unfortunately. It’s come to our attention that a viral trend on TikTok is making its way around the ‘net. This wouldn’t ordinarily be an issue, but … the content of this trend has some very concerning implications. Read on to find out everything you need to know about “Roblox Heat.”

What is “Roblox Heat”?

If you were to do a search for “Roblox Heat,” you might not know what to make of it. At a cursory glance, it’s a trend where users on TikTok put their Roblox avatars into compromising situations. If you’re unaware, a Roblox avatar is an in-game character meant to represent the player. And, to make matters worse, it can be said that the primary audience for Roblox are children.

This TikTok Trend Has a Disturbing Implication.

According to YouTuber Pkrussi, this trend didn’t start with Roblox. It began with a game called Gacha Life, and over time, it naturally — or unnaturally — made its way to the Roblox platform. But, to be clear, most of this is happening on TikTok, another platform that has been notoriously popular among children.

In the video by Pkrussi, they highlighted a TikTok video featuring an avatar supposedly belonging to the poster’s six-year-old sister. It should be noted — thankfully — that the avatar was not in a compromising situation, but the video had both #gachaheat and #kid in the tags, the former supposedly for more views.

In addition, the uploader of this TikTok went out of their way to include their ‘sister’s’ Roblox username in the description of the video, so that anyone who wanted it could have it. I cannot emphasize how much you don’t want to attract anyone searching for these hashtags to know your personal information, regardless of how old you are, but especially if you’re six years old.

I cannot know for certain if this TikTok creator was being truthful about their sister. For all we know, that video was made by a child who does not realize the implications they were making. But, this is the kind of thing you can expect when it comes to “Roblox Heat.” And this is a tame example.

In Summary

I do not believe it’s morally objectionable for adults to play games on Roblox or use TikTok. But, a certain amount of responsibility should be assumed when doing so. Because a large percentage of its users are children or young teenagers. If you’re a parent with children who consume content on Roblox or TikTok, please be a little more mindful.

“Roblox Heat” is a disturbing trend that should be forcibly put to an end as soon as possible. It’s another example of something made with children in mind being corrupted by selfish, disgusting people.
