What does Ghoul Race do in Roblox Blox Fruits?

Being dead has its perks.

Full-on undead aren’t really a thing in One Piece, barring Devil Fruit-created ones like Brook or Moria’s Shadow Zombies. Given the diversity of the races in the series, though, it wouldn’t particularly surprise me if there were some shamblers around, so it’s not that strange for there to be a Ghoul race in Blox Fruits. Speaking of, what does the Ghoul race do in Roblox Blox Fruits?

What does Ghoul Race do in Roblox Blox Fruits?

Ghoul is a special race in Blox Fruits that confers a few handy benefits and abilities when it’s dark out, the ideal feeding time for the creatures of darkness. Rather than a literal race, Ghoul is more like a supplementary fighting style, as you can switch out of it to another race if you so choose instead of being stuck with it.

Ghouls specialize in enriching themselves by stealing vitality from their foes. At its base level, Ghouls get a speed buff at night, plus a slight boost to HP regen. At level 2, though, you gain Life Steal, restoring your life every time you land an attack with a fighting style. At level 3, you gain Heightened Senses which, when activated, gives you an all-around damage, speed, and defense buff and allows you to use skills that are still on cooldown. At the peak of their abilities, Ghouls can create a field of darkness that negates enemy recovery abilities and applies blindness, while also allowing them to use their nighttime buffs during the day.

The only real downsides to being a Ghoul are that they don’t get their buffs during the day, and their lifesteal abilities only work with hand-to-hand combat, not weapons or Fruit abilities.

If you’re interested in becoming a Ghoul, you’ll first need to be at least level 1,000. After that, make your way to the Cursed Ship area. You’ll need to collect 100 Ectoplasm, which is dropped by the NPCs on the ship, as well as a Hellfire Torch, which has a low chance of dropping from the ship’s Cursed Captain boss.

Once you’ve got the materials, visit the Cursed Ship’s kitchen to meet Experimic. If you meet the level requirement and hand over the materials, he’ll change your race to Ghoul. If you ever change your race to something else and want to be a Ghoul again, just talk to Experimic again. He’ll make you a Ghoul again at no extra cost.

As long as you don’t mind doing the bulk of your fighting at night and with your hands, Ghouls can be quite the powerful combatants. Now we just wait and see if Ghouls end up being a real thing in One Piece…
