Survivor.io is a free-to-play action game for mobile devices. It has you fight through hordes of zombies and bosses. You earn coins, experience, and more to upgrade your equipment and character to better deal with the zombie threat. There may be abilities or items like a lightning attack waiting for you to unlock. You also encounter bosses and mini-bosses, meaning those upgrades may be just what you need if you get stuck.
Another thing players get stuck on is “evo”. Namely, many people simply don’t know what it means. They see a little symbol under a skill with “evo” next to it, and have no clue what to do next.
What is Evo in Survivor.io
Evo under a skill informs you that you need that skill in order to upgrade a weapon to its highest evolution. Think of it as a 6th star for your 5-star weapon. For example, if you want the evolved weapon “Gatling Gun” then you’ll need the weapon “Shotgun” along with the skill “Hi-Powered Bullet”. Once you have the skill Hi-Powered Bullet along with the Shotgun at 5-star, you’ll get the skill “Gatling” unlocked. This turns your slow shotgun into a rapid-fire automatic weapon to mow down those waves of zombies.
Skills aren’t tied into just one weapon for upgrade. Hi-Powered Bullet can be used along with the weapon “Revolver” to get the evolved weapon “Reaper”. So, don’t be discouraged with picking a skill thinking it can only be used for a single weapon and its evolution.
