Never have I experienced such a moment of extreme compassion, empathy and self-identification while writing this article. You know, I’m not a kid anymore, I’m almost thirty and, compared to them kids nowadays, I could perfectly be 50 or 60. I’m a grumpy old man that does not understand what the youth finds funny. I mean, I’m not that old, but I have always identified myself with past generations. The music, the lifestyle, the ideas. I was born a baby, of course, but I was born a boomer as well. A baby boomer. Before I get my midlife crisis prematurely, we have a question to answer. What does cheugy mean in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? Man, this is getting hard to bear. My own existence in front of my eyes. Anyway, we will answer the question for you, my cheugy friends. Ugh, I can’t.
What Does Cheugy Mean in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?
Foremost, “cheugy” is not a term coined in the Pokémon universe, not at all. So leave Director Clavell alone (he is the one that formulated the question in the first place). It is a term that was created by Gen Z in 2013. Its purpose is to describe the contraptions and uniqueness of early 2010s and millennials. Oh, my dear zoomers, you have created an unlimited source of cringe already, and then you go ahead and criticize us millennials for our mere existence. Anyway, cheugy means “uncool, out of fashion, outdated, cringy”. Hahaha, that’s funny, guys. Keep updating your TikTok 5 times a day while we millennials cry, for our time has passed. Anyway, let me end this before I get more tears in my eyes or more cringe in my stomach. When Director Clavell asks you: “What does cheugy mean?”, be sure to select “being outdated and uncool”. No, it is not a gumball, please. Don’t make us look more out of touch than we already are.

Go ahead and cringe or laugh, to be quite honest with you, Game Freak surely did pack a punch with this inclusion. Thank you guys for making my day, I’ll go ahead and drink some plum juice while I shout to the TV. Be right back.
