What do the Hunter Forums do in High on Life?

Nothing like wading through the proverbial cesspool.

It’s pretty much a general rule of the internet, if not reality overall, that open forums are absolute cesspools, full of spicy takes and general nonsense. In a game as irreverent as High on Life, it’s not especially surprising that such a cesspool would be a built-in game feature. So, what do the Hunter Forums do in High on Life?

What do the Hunter Forums do in High on Life?

After you obtain your Bounty Suit and Activation Code in High on Life, you’ll get access to all of the suit’s higher functions. This includes automatic membership in the Hunter Forums, an open forum for the galaxy’s various bounty hunters, miscreants, and weirdos accessible from your pause menu. There are separate forums for each of the planets you visit, as well as a general forum for combat tactics.

The threads in these forums are each paired with an in-game challenge, such as killing a certain number of enemies with your Gatlians or discovering new areas. As you complete these challenges, more of their corresponding threads will be revealed.

Do You Get Anything for Revealing the Threads?

So, what’s your reward for revealing the threads? Your reward is… revealing the threads. The threads contain dialogue and what I can generously call “lore” about the game’s world, so completing the challenges gives you something mildly entertaining and interesting to read.

Unfortunately, you do not receive any kind of tangible reward for filling out the Hunter Forums, though you do get an achievement for successfully revealing every single thread in the game. You don’t have to actually read the threads if you don’t want to.
