Moonscars is a punishingly hard soulslike sidescroller that puts the player a hair’s breadth from death at every corner. You will receive little in terms of help throughout your hellish plunge through the game, but, like in all soulslikes, there is one constant. The Dark Mirrors represent safety, solace, transportation, and, most importantly, help. Here is everything the Dark Mirrors can help you with.
Everything you can do with a Dark Mirror in Moonscars
Upon activation or interaction of a Dark Mirror, all enemies will respawn and your health and Ichor will refill.
Warp
Maybe expectedly, the Dark Mirrors allow you to travel freely betwixt other activated Dark Mirrors and the Mould Workshop.
Your current location will be marked in red font. A useful map also features to the right.
Learn
Dark Mirrors also allow you to learn new Witcheries. Witcheries are essentially magical powers that you can unlock and upgrade, and you do this through a tree system.
You unlock Witcheries with Bone Dust and you can exclusively learn Witcheries through the Dark Mirrors. You can always change and swap what purchased Witcheries are active, however.

Moon Rite
The Moon Rite allows you to alleviate the Cruel Mistress’ ravenous hunger.
The condition of the moon will dictate whether the enemies will be harder or easier, with Bone Dust rewards relative to the difficulty. If the Ravenous Moon is providing you with too much challenge, then you can offer a Gland to satiate the hunger, making enemies easier once again.
Clay Rite
Clay Rites offer passive bonuses that will remain active until you next interact with a Dark Mirror.
Each bonus will require one gland, and you will benefit from it even through death. Be careful when applying these, as glands aren’t exactly common and you won’t be able to interact with a Dark Mirror else you forfeit your bonuses.
Weapon Rite
Weapon Rites allow you to change your Special Weapon.
It costs a hefty 3 glands, but you can change your weapon without having to fight an evil doppelganger. A change in weapon allows a change in Special Attack and bonus, which could be vital in case you are after a specific attack to assist with a boss fight.
