With the implementation of the Hearth and Home update in Valheim, players have an entirely new bevvy of nifty buildings and gadgets to create and enjoy. Though, if you want to get a bit philosophical, you can’t have creation without its twin sibling destruction. If you’re in the mood for some good old-fashioned destruction, then the Hearth and Home update has added something you’ll find very entertaining. Here’s how to craft an Obliterator in Valheim.
The Obliterator is… well, pretty much exactly what it sounds like. It’s a little electrical casket-looking thing, and any item that’s placed inside of it is completely and utterly atomized. And I do mean anything; weapons, armor, materials, or whatever else fits in the compartment. If you can hold it, and you’re really tired of it cluttering up your world, you can Obliterate it.
How to Craft an Obliterator in Valheim
To craft an Obliterator in Valheim:
- Obtain Thunder Stone
- Construct a Forge
- Open the hammer menu and select the Obliterator from the crafting tab
- Craft the Obliterator from 8 Iron, 4 Copper, and 1 Thunder Stone
The nice thing about the Obliterator is that you don’t need any kind of special recipe to make it. As long as you’ve already constructed a Forge, it’ll be automatically added to your hammer menu’s crafting submenu. You do, however, need to pick up some Thunder Stone. You can acquire this from the Merchant in the Black Forest biome.
To craft the Obliterator, you’ll need 8 Iron, 4 Copper, and 1 Thunder Stone. The Iron and Copper are fairly easy to source, but you’ll need to hunt down the trader in the Black Forest. Once you’ve got the reqisite materials, you can build your Obliterator anywhere, as long as it’s within the general vicinity of your Forge.
To use your Obliterator, just open its menu while standing next to it, load in anything you want to go bye-bye, and pull the lever. Wait a little bit, and everything within will be reduced to atoms. Fun!
