V Rising is a gothic multiplayer survival game developed by Stunlock Studios. In the game, players must hunt for blood in an effort to regain their strength after centuries of sleep. V Rising offers players a choice between different modes as they start the game: PvE, PvP, Full Loot PvP, and Duos PvP.
It’s a tough call, especially if you’re only concerned with the ability to mow down your fellow players. Here’s all you need to know about V Rising’s PvP modes.
PvP vs. Full Loot PvP vs. Duos PvP: What’s the Difference?
Let’s say you are just getting started with V Rising. You’re fairly certain you want to play in a Player vs. Player mode, but what does that mean in this game? First, we should explain what PvE is in V Rising.
In PvE, you’ll encounter other players out in the world of Vardoran, and while you can cooperate, you are restricted from harming each other. Combat between players is strictly forbidden in this mode. So, it’ll make sense then, when I say the base PvP mode is more or less the same, only combat between players is allowed. You can fight other players, invade their castles and steal some of their belongings. It’s a mode for the truly competitive.
For those seeking more of a challenge, Full Loot PvP has you covered. In Full Loot PvP, the same rules apply as in base PvP, the biggest difference being that when you are defeated, you will drop all of your belongings, and vis versa. It’s a mode for the risk takers who want to put it all on the line in an effort to claim ultimate vampiric royalty.
In the base PvE and PvP modes, players can team up with up to four friends to establish their bloody reign. If you’re more of a solo player and would like to avoid situations where other clans team up to take you out, give Duos PvP a try! In Duos PvP, you can invite a friend to join your efforts, and the two of you can avoid griefing from other clans.
