Undungeon: All Death Types and Their Benefits

Many ways to kill.

The fantastic new RPG title by tinyBuild and Laughing Machines, Undungeon has finally received a full launch and is sucking players into its lore-filled dystopian world. With tight gameplay, a fantastic story, and deep RPG mechanics, there is a lot to keep track of during your time with this game.

And because this game gives players so many ways to dispatch their enemies, it’s important to make sure you’re finishing off your target with the specific weapon you’d like as it can have a direct impact on what the enemy drops upon death.

Today, we’ll list all of the various death types in Undungeon and their details which list their benefits as well as the negative elements that come with each one. Let’s check them out!

Undungeon: All Death Types and Their Benefits

There are a total of 5 different types of deaths that enemies will experience by your hand in Undungeon; Decreation, Laceration, Mortification, Incineration, and Explosion. Though some of these come with the same or similar rewards, there are a few that show that the risk is well worth the reward compared to the others.

Decreation

  • Targets killed by decreation have the highest drop values of essences, runes, nodes, and consumables. This type of death blocks the possibility of an autopsy.

Laceration

  • Targets killed by laceration have an increased chance of organs drop, but standard values for essences, runes, nodes, and consumables. this type of death blocks the possibility of an autopsy.

Mortification

  • Targets killed by mortification have standard drop values for essences, runes, nodes, and consumables. This type of death allows you to perform an autopsy.

Incineration

  • Targets killed by incineration have higher than average drop values for essences, runes, and nodes. This type of death blocks the drop of consumables and the possibility of an autopsy.

Explosion

  • Targets killed by explosion have an average chance of organ and essence drop, but low values for runes, nodes, and consumables. This type of death blocks the possibility of an autopsy.

Those are all of the different death types in Undungeon and the benefits and even cons that come with them. As combat is an art form in Undungeon, keeping track of your own play style and what you want to achieve upon enemy deaths can be a balancing act.
