Tower of Fantasy Umi Weapon Abilities and Matrices

It's Morbin Time!

Umi is the latest Simulacra to debut in Tower of Fantasy Version 2.3 Wandering Admist Miasma in Global. Her banner will begin on February 23, 2023; her weapon of choice is the called Morbius, named after the geometrical structure. Umi can be seen as a clumsy yet optimistic girl with strange gaps in her memory. Although she believes a rabbit speaks to her occasionally (which encourages her to do bad things), she always strives to look on the brighter side. So, if you’re curious about this magical girl, follow this guide on Umi’s Weapon abilities and Matrices in Tower of Fantasy.

Skill

It’s Magic Time

When you deal damage with any weapon in the main slot, this will accumulate warm-up points; the cooldown is 0.6 seconds. Physical weapons will accumulate 1 point with each hit, and non-physical will accumulate 0.5 points with each hit. You can accumulate up to 100 warm-up points displayed in the Magic Gauge.

When you enter battle, you will immediately gain 100 warm-up points; with these points, you can use Skills. Pull your enemies together in a particular area and deal damage equal to 950% of ATK +50 to the target. You will become temporarily invincible and reduce the speed of targets within the hit area.

At the same time, you can activate Magic Trick to consume warm-up points for 18 seconds continuously; the cooldown is 30 seconds. After this, the skill buttons will change to Cut Card buttons. When you use Magic Trick, you will get a Spade or Heart Poker Card every 2 seconds. Card Magic will automatically be used when there are two corresponding magic cards, and the cooldown is 3.8 seconds.

During the Magic Trick state, you will gain hyperbody and be considered to have a shield. As a result, Morbius’s attacks’ physical damage will increase by 10% and shatter by 20%.

There are three different card combinations to activate Card Magic effects.

  • Heart + Spade = Psychic Puppet
  • Heart + Heart = Contradiction Corrosion
  • Spade + Spade = Card Sweep
Psychic Puppet

When you activate this attack, a colony of bats will emerge from your hat and enhance you. When you use Magic Trick, physical damage by the Morbius is increased by 7.5%, and 60% of the damage you receive will be tallied. The remaining 40% will slowly be deducted from your HP 10 seconds after Magic Trick ends.

Contradiction Corrosion

You will immediately recover 10% of Max HP and plant a Corrosion Flower on 7 targets within the hit range. This attack deals damages equal to 260% of ATK every second for 3 seconds.

Card Sweep

This attack will summon many flying cards, forming a hurricane that swarms to the target’s location; Card Sweep can attack the target up to 12 times, dealing damage equal to 850% of ATK.

Discharge

Sleight of Hand

When the weapon charge is full, or you trigger a Phantasia, this attack removes all debuffs from the wielder upon switching to Umi’s Morbius in Tower of Fantasy. After this, you will cast Sleight of Hand and will gain temporary invincibility. You will deal damage equal to 316.2% of ATK +17 to the target. After swinging the whip, you will deal damage equal to 737.8% of ATK +39 to the target and powerfully launch the target.

Tower of Fantasy – Umi’s Matrices Set

For Umi, we recommend using her 4-piece matrix set in Tower of Fantasy. Set her matrices in the Memory and Belief slot for optimal base attacks. When using her 4-piece set, equip two or more Physical weapons, increasing the final damage by 15%/17%/19%/21%. This matrix set can also be used in the off-hand slot; however, it works best when Umi is at Advancement 6 (A6).
