However, not every Minecraft player has the resources necessary to design a massive mansion for themselves. That’s why we’ve put together this top 10 Minecraft mansion design list. We’ve compiled ten of the best mansion designs out there for you to pursue, browse, and hopefully become inspired by.

Customizable Minecraft Mansion Designs

Modular Mountain Minecraft Mansion

The credit for this first Minecraft mansion design goes to Sunfire_SG on Twitter. As you can tell, this mansion is a little atypical compared to what you would traditionally expect in Minecraft. It even looks odd compared to modern house designs.

However, that oddity and quirkiness is this design’s strength. Not only is it visually interesting to look at, but its modular nature means it’s incredibly customizable.

The house is designed to be modular. You could expand this Minecraft mansion design up and out, adding more modules until you’ve got a visually stunning complex not too dissimilar to a beehive.

If you’re looking for a Minecraft mansion that’s as customizable as it is attractive, this is absolutely your best option.

Embedded Minecraft Mountain Mansion

Okay, this may not look like a typical mansion, and it’s not. It’s by far the most unique build on this list, but the potential it has is limitless.

Whereas Sunfire’s modular mountain mansion would expand like a beehive, this one would almost be reminiscent of ant tunnels.

The technique is simple, you’re carving out holes in the side of a mansion, decorating them, and turning them into massive windows. You’ve then tunneling between them. That’s it, but that simplicity is what makes this build so utterly customizable.

You can go in any direction you want, even inwards, and as long as you’ve picked a large enough mountain, you won’t have to worry about running out of space.

If you’re a survival player that wants a large, impressive house but you dread all the work that comes with that – collecting supplies, leveling out the ground, and building a frame, then you’re going to love this.

Unique Minecraft Mansion Designs

Aquarium Minecraft Mansion

This second design comes to us by a builder of the name Alisuoriutuja. What you should be focusing on here is the concept of the piece, rather than the build itself. Unless you’re also a pro-Minecraft builder and fancy tackling something of this scale and grandeur.

The idea of building an aquarium into your Minecraft mansion is something that’s underutilized and full of potential. As you can see here, the man-made underwater environment looks unbelievably extravagant, It screams luxury – exactly what a mansion is designed to do.

The sky’s the limit when it comes to working water and aquariums into your Minecraft home, so play around and see what you can come up with.

Minecraft Tower Mansion

Just like with the aquarium, focus on the idea here rather than the actual build itself. Granted, you could viably recreate this mansion in your own game.

The idea here is two-fold. First, it’s building a mansion designed as more of a tower. You can interpret that however you want, be it as a skyscraper, or something more fantastical. Secondly, this build uses clear Eastern inspiration in its architecture. The windows, roof, and support beams are all reminiscent of something you might find in ancient Japan.

Saucybutterbean on Reddit regularly knocks it out of the park with their designs, and this mansion design is no different.

Desert Minecraft Mansion Designs

Desert Castle

This next design was dreamed up by 48minh. It’s designed to be a desert building, so it’s not going to be suitable for a lot of you. For anyone that has settled in a desert biome, though, this type of house is exactly what you’re looking for.

BlueBits’ design really leans into the patterns and color schemes that Minecraft has pre-established for its deserts. The cracked stone of the Sandstone and the oranges, creams, and touch of green really help add depth to this build.

This Minecraft mansion design is phenomenal looking as is. As with all of the builds on this list, though. you could expand it if you wanted a larger mansion.

Desert Modern Mansion

This version of a Minecraft desert mansion is more modern than you would typically expect. This creates an interesting clash of styles that is very pretty to look at.

The duo-chrome color scheme, sharp edges, and flat planes are something you would typically see from a modern metropolitan-style home that has black and white colors. Instead, this build uses sandstone and wood – too great effect.

It’s rare for someone to set up shop in a desert on their Minecraft world. That makes desert mansion designs few and far between, so take some inspiration from this and run with it. You don’t have to follow the build to the letter. Simply pull the concept of mixing desert colors with a modern style and you should be able to create some really impressive homes.

If you’ve set up your base in a desert, but you still like that sleek, modern aesthetic, then this mansion might be a build worth considering.

Minecraft Modern Mansion Designs

Classic Minecraft Beach Mansion

When you think “Minecraft mansion”, you probably envision something like this design from Etutorial Compared to the other entries on this list, this mansion style is a lot more typical and standard, albeit complicated. This is not a build you want to undertake on a whim.

This mansion is massive. It has room for every kind of amenity you could ever need, and enough space for your entire server to live in.

This build is deceptively simple compared to a lot of modern Minecraft mansions. It doesn’t go too overboard with the modular nature of the building, despite its massive size. That works in its advantage, as you should be able to recreate this kind of build in your own world without drowning in its specificities of it.

Obviously, if you opt to build a mansion like this in the middle of your friend’s little forest campsite smack-bang in the middle of their wooden huts, it’s going to look out of place. However, if you build it in a location that’s already been converted to that popular modern style, it’s going to look absolutely incredible – especially if you’re along a coast. This build gives Miami vibes, so take that into consideration if you decide to try and build it yourself.

Modern City Minecraft Mansion

This mansion was designed by Waspycraft1 on Reddit – an incredible builder with a number of projects worth having a look at.

This project, in particular, is very impressive. While it does make use of a shader, it translates very well to Minecraft’s vanilla appearance and style. Unlike the previous modern design, this is less beach-like in its appearance. It’s less overtly flashy, but just as incredible looking, if not moreso when it comes to the little pieces of the design.

This style of modern house will be harder to recreate, but the effort is well worth the reward – especially if you practice the style. All modern houses have the same design patterns in how their shaped and constructed, so once you get good at it, the sky’s the limit.

The mansion is incredibly textured and the color scheme works well. It’s a dark yet eye-grabbing build that’ll look awesome almost anywhere you decide to put it.

Minecraft Wooden Mansion Designs

Stripped Wooden Mansion

This Minecraft mansion design is by Waspycraft1 yet again. Unlike the modern Minecraft mansion, this build uses just wood and stone – two materials you should have in abundance in your survival world.

It doesn’t do anything fancy or over the top, yet it still looks incredible. The fact that this build looks this good while only using oak speaks to just how thought-out the design is. It’s sizable enough to provide you with all the space you need and has enough depth that it’s visually interesting and draws the eye.

If you’re on the search for a more typical Minecraft mansion design, I would recommend trying this one on for size.

Medival Wooden Minecraft Mansion

Our last Minecraft mansion is a little atypical in the materials that it uses, but you can always substitute those if you don’t have them readily available on hand.

You should be focusing on the shapes here rather than the colors, though. Notice how well Paintergigi uses stairs to create the illusion of depth in this build. Almost every single stair is a block out from the wall behind it.

Also, pay attention to the symmetry of the build. When you’ve got a tall mansion like this, having a symmetrical structure pays dividends when it comes to its appearance.

This wooden Minecraft mansion blends the line between wood and stone, creating an almost medieval-like appearance that you should absolutely be implementing into your own servers.
