Hogwarts Legacy is Avalanche Software’s latest entry into the RPG genre of gaming. Based on the Wizarding World of Harry Potter that was originally created by J.K. Rowling, this magical game is currently surpassing many of the expectations critics had for it. In this single-player game, you can attend Hogwarts as a new student who is entering their fifth year, and study magic! You will learn many different branches of witchcraft and wizardry, such as potions making, spell casting and even how to grow a variety of unique plants. With an original storyline and refreshing graphics, Hogwarts Legacy is quickly becoming one of the most enjoyable games of 2023.
However, as with all games that have ever been released — aside from a select few, of course — there are some issues within the game related to how it works that need addressing. These include features that could have been added but were missed, how there is no multiplayer in the game, and other things that players would have loved to see. We set out to list the most popular things that were not added or could be fixed regarding Hogwarts Legacy.

What Is Wrong with Hogwarts Legacy?
Although this game has been receiving stellar reviews as of late, and the huge outpouring of fan love for Hogwarts Legacy is truly deserved, there are some things that are missing from the game. Without further ado, here are some of the features we feel were left out, but could have made the videogame that much better.
No Multiplayer Mode
As any experienced gamer knows, as soon as you master the combat system of a videogame the AI enemies become far easier to defeat. In short, they are predictable, slow and clunky. Unless their name is Sans, of course, but that’s a topic for another day. Being able to duel in tandem with others, or even against players through an online mode would have made the combat system far more important to become strong in. Obviously, some curses such as the Killing Curse would need to be outlawed, but the idea of a Co-Op mode in Hogwarts Legacy is not an unsavory one.
No Photo Mode for Visual Lovers
As we mentioned in this article’s introduction, the game has stellar graphics. Unfortunately, there is simply no way for players to enter Photo Mode, which would remove distractions from the screen so you could take a screencap of your display. This feature could still be added as it is a quick fix, and would help people share their favorite moments in the game without their HUD showing up to photobomb.
Disable HUD Options — Master Switch
Speaking of the HUD and what players see on their screen, as you progress through this game, you unlock more spells, abilities and can also find additional items. In the settings of the game, there is a way for you to disable certain parts of the HUD, but this is on a case-by-case basis and requires you to individually select each item to be disabled. Having a master switch or something similar would make this feature a whole lot easier to turn on or off at will.
The Ability to Pause Cutscenes
Sometimes, especially for younger or more novice gamers, the cutscenes in a videogame seem to flash by in a blur. Therefore, it is extremely helpful to have the ability to pause cutscenes while they are happening. This also allows players to examine their surroundings and fully appreciate all of the hard work that the designers of the game put into making it look beautiful. Adding the ability to pause cutscenes would be one of Hogwarts Legacy’s biggest fixes and would certainly make the game more accessible to those who might have trouble following along.
