How to Heal Teammates in Shredder’s Revenge

There are two primary avenues of healing in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge: the classic pizza method and the new Cheer Up method.

Sometimes, when you smash random environmental objects throughout the levels, a box of hot and fresh pizza will drop to the ground. You can pick it up for an immediate health boost. Pizzas actually come in two sizes, which work a little differently: a regular-sized pizza will only restore health for the one who picks it up, while a large-sized pizza will restore health for the entire party. If you’re playing with friends, remember to ration out the regular-sized pizzas to the players who need them most.

The new method for health recovery is the Cheer Up, a quick move that allows you to share some of your own health with a friend when there aren’t any pizzas handy.

To perform a Cheer Up, stand next to the player you want to help and press L1/LB. The two of you will perform a delightful high-five, transferring two pips of health from your health bar over to theirs. This is a good emergency maneuver for keeping your buddies in the game, but make sure you can spare the health yourself first.

Remember, the key to success in any side-scrolling beat ’em up is cooperation! Keep everyone hale and hearty, and you’ll clear the game just fine.
