Stars End – How to collect resources and kill animals

Like with any survival game’s these days, there are going to be small resources that players are going to need to find first, in order to start working their way up to larger, more valuable resources. And Stars End isn’t any different, as players are going to need to find many things to get started. But the first thing players are going to want to do when they begin is find bushes in order to get sticks and other materials such as fibers from plants and metal from space wreckage in order to put together their first pickaxe.

The pickaxe is the first of many great tools you’re going to need to build in order to get your crafting and scavenging journey started. From there, players are able to begin mining for additional resources that can be used in crafting more supplies, creating new materials, or even being sold for currency.

New materials can be found just about everywhere or mined/dismantled, and just have to be picked up in order to add them to your inventory. Once you get the resources you need through scavenging or hunting, you’ll want to make sure you have enough room in your inventory, and that the weight isn’t being exceeded, as this can over-encumber you and make you slow to move. Crafting larger backpacks will improve this and make the game much easier.

If you’re after animals for either food or crafting materials, you’ll want to make sure that you have the proper protection you need. Though a pickaxe can be useful in most cases, it isn’t made for hunting animals. That’s why it’s best to get your hands on a rifle but early on, crafting a bow and arrows will surface. That’ll make it so that you can take animals out from a distance so that you aren’t put into harm’s way. You can build a bow with sticks and cloth, and arrows can be crafted using sticks and flint.
