Spellbreak is a magic-based battle royale game, where players choose two elements to rain destruction on their opponents. Players compete in solo, duos, or trios with up to 40 others per game. There are six Spellbreak Gauntlets, each instilled with an element that grants unique spells and abilities.

Players start by choosing their class in the lobby, granting them a common rarity Spellbreak Gauntlet for that element. Find and loot common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary Gauntlets throughout the game. The primary selected class Gauntlet can only be upgraded, not swapped, and also determines which abilities unlock from leveling up. Here’s a look at all of them, and what you need to know.

Spellbreak Gauntlets: Elements and combinations

There are six different Spellbreak Gauntlets to choose from, including Fire, Frost, Lightning, Stone, Toxic, and Wind. 

Pyromancer (Fire Gauntlet): well-balanced area control

  • Fireball – send a scorching ball of fire flying towards your opponents.
  • Flamewall – Conjure a wall of fire, damaging anyone inside of it.
  • Skill Levels:
    • Combust – Ignires target on direct hit for 2s, increases fireball explosion radius by 200%
    • Firefly – Fly for 2s on entering Flamewall, and immune to Flamewall
    • Pyrolysis – Damage on Flamewall increased by 200%
    • Conflagration – Spawns 4 Fireballs on Firewall hit

Frostborn (Frost Gauntlet): significant damage from long range

  • Ice Lance – charge and unleash a deadly ice shard.
  • Flash Freeze – chill the area around you, slowing and eventually freezing anyone caught inside it.
  • Skill Levels:
    • Frozen Alacrity – Ice Lance leaves an ice trail, granting 150% faster acceleration
    • Icicle – hover on mid-air while aiming ice land, which also highlights targets while aiming
    • Tundra – immune to damage while casting flash freeze, and flash freeze duration increased by 100%
    • Ice Prism – Ice Lancer overcharge for 0.5s for +35% damage

Conduit (Lightning Gauntlet): rapid-fire runic efficiency

  • Lightning Bolts – fire multiple lightning bolts at your opponents.
  • Lightning Strike – summons a lightning strike in the targeted area.
  • Skill Levels:
    • Potential Energy – Lightning Bolt grants +1 damage per every Bolt until you stop casting, for a max of 5
    • Overload – Lightning Strike casts grant +1 Rune Charge, max of 1
    • Power Surge – Grants -100% mana cost on power surge for 4s
    • Secondary Strike – +4 Strikes with Lightning Strike

Stoneshaper (Stone Gauntlet): armored mid-range class

  • Shockwave – causes an eruption of stone along the ground.
  • Boulderfall – hurl a boulder at your opponents.
  • Skill Levels:
    • Stoneskin – Max Armor +20, and grants +5 armor when casting Shockwave with less than 20 armor
    • Bedrock – On Shockwave cash, crashes to the ground
    • Accretion – Boulderfall Size grows as it flies
    • Avalanche – One additional Boulderfall charge

Toxicologist (Poison Gauntlet): damage over time and stealth

  • Toxic Spray – sprays multiple toxic streams in front of you.
  • Toxic Cloud – puts down a blob that expands into a cloud that damages armor.
  • Skill Levels:
    • Viscosity – Toxic Spray leaves sticky toxic puddles, slowing enemies
    • Vanishing Mists – Immune to your toxic clouds, and entering them gives dash and invisibility for 3s
    • Outbreak – While invisible, Toxic Spray damage increases by 75%
    • Spreading Sickness – Toxic Cloud grants +2 clouds

Tempest (Wind Gauntlet): high-flying mobility

  • Wind Shear – rapidly summons a gust of wind to damage your opponents and deflect spells.
  • Tornado – conjures a tornado at a target location, pulling in enemies.
  • Skill Levels:
    • Wind Surge – On Wind Shear Ground Hit, you wind jump
    • Updraft – Immune to tornado pulls, and entering them launches you into the air
    • Squall – +20% spell damage and 10% damage reduction in the air
    • Sudden Gust – Sorcery cooldown speed +100% while in the air

Spellbreak Gauntlet Elemental Combinations and Interactions

Combining different elements creates some powerful synergies. Similarly, some elements cancel each other out, rendering abilities useless. Here’s a table of all the Spellbreak Gauntlets elemental combinations and interactions.

Pyromancer (Fire Gauntlet) Combinations:

  • Fire x Fire
    • Fireballs pass through Flamewalls
    • Fireballs can collide with each other
  • Fire x Frost
    • Flamewall cannot spawn inside Flash Freeze
    • Fireballs turn Ice Puddles into Steam Puddles
  • Fire x Lightning
    • Lightning Bolts pass through the Flamewall
    • Flamewall attracts nearby Lightning Strikes
  • Fire x Stone
    • Shockwave can stop Fireballs
    • Boulderfall can ignite, leaving Flame Puddles
    • Shockwave passes through the fire, leaving a trail of fire
  • Fire x Poison
    • Fire and Poison make Dragonfire
    • Toxic Spray is blocked by Fireballs
  • Fire x Wind
    • Tornados affect the trajectory of Fireballs
    • Throwing a fireball into a tornado makes a Fire Tornado
    • Wind Shear extinguishes Flame Puddles and Flamewall
    • Fireballs block Wind Shears and change their trajectory

Frostborn (Frost Gauntlet) Combinations:

  • Frost x Fire
    • Frost and Fire cancel each other out
    • Flamewall cannot spawn inside Flash Freeze
    • Fireballs turn Ice Puddles into Stream Puddles
    • Flash Freeze extinguishes ground fires
  • Frost x Frost
    • Ice Lances cancel each other out
    • Flash Freeze freezes water puddles into Ice Puddles
    • Frozen players have freeze immunity for 5 seconds
  • Frost x Lightning
    • Lightning electrifies Water, Ice/Steam Puddles, and shocks players
    • Flash Freeze can block Lightning Bolts
  • Frost x Stone
    • Boulderfall freezes when it blocks Ice Lance or goes into Flash Freeze
    • Shockwave shatters Ice and removes Water Puddles
  • Frost x Poison
    • Ice freezes Toxic Clouds unless a player is inside, then it becomes Ice Mist
    • Toxic Spray causes Ice and Water Puddles to turn into Toxic Puddles
    • Flash Freeze turns Toxic Puddles into Ice Puddles
  • Frost x Wind
    • Wind Shears shatters Ice Puddles
    • Tornados change the trajectory of Ice Lances

  • Lightning x Frost
    • Lightning electrifies Water, Ice/Steam Puddles, and shocks players

  • Lightning x Lightning
    • Shocking a player grants them shock immunity for 5 seconds
  • Lightning x Stone
    • Lightning Strike can cancel Shockwave if timed correctly
    • Bouldfall can block Lightning Bolts
  • Lightning x Poison
    • Toxic Cloud blocks Lightning Bolt and becomes electrified
    • Lightning Strike electrifies Toxic Puddle and Toxic Clouds
  • Lightning x Wind
    • Wind Shear fired through lightning electrifies it and shocks players
    • Lightning Strike hits a player no matter their height
    • Tornado does not affect Lightning Bolt trajectory
    • Tornados absorb Lightning Bolts and make a Lightning Tornado

Stoneshaper (Stone Gauntlet) Combinations

  • Stone x Fire
    • Boulderfall can be set on fire, leaving a Flame Puddle under it
    • Shockwave can be set on fire, leaving a Fire Trail
    • Shockwave can block Fireballs
  • Stone x Frost
    • Shockwave shattered Ice Puddle, creating Ice Mists
    • Boulderfall freezes when blocking Ice Lance or entering Flash Freeze
    • Boulderfall shatters Ice Puddles and Ice Blocks, creating Ice Mists
  • Stone x Lightning
    • Boulderfall blocks Lightning Bolts
    • Lightning Strike can stop Shockwave if timed correctly
  • Stone x Stone
    • Shockwaves and Boulderfalls collide with each other
  • Stone x Poison
    • Shockwave removes Toxic Puddles and goes through Toxic Clouds
    • Boulderfall blocks Toxic Spray and collides with Toxic Cloud
    • Boulderfall removes Toxic Puddles
  • Stone x Wind
    • Boulderfall blocks or redirects Wind Shear, altering its trajectory
    • Tornado affects the trajectory of Boulderfall

Toxicologist (Poison Gauntlet) Combinations

  • Poison x Fire
    • Fire and Poison make Dragonfire
    • Toxic Spray is blocked by Fireballs
  • Poison x Frost
    • Ice freezes Toxic Clouds unless a player is inside, then it becomes Ice Mist
    • Toxic Spray causes Ice and Water Puddles to turn into Toxic Puddles
    • Flash Freeze turns Toxic Puddles into Ice Puddles
  • Poison x Lightning
    • Toxic Cloud blocks Lightning Bolts and becomes electrified
    • Lightning Strike electrifies Toxic Puddle and Toxic Clouds

    • Shockwave removes Toxic Puddles and goes through Toxic Clouds
    • Boulderfall blocks Toxic Spray and collides with Toxic Cloud

    • Tornados affect the trajectory of Fireballs
    • Throwing a fireball into a tornado makes a Fire Tornado
    • Wind Shear extinguishes Flame Puddles and Flamewall
    • Fireballs block Wind Shears and change their trajectory
  • Wind x Frost
    • Wind Shears shatters Ice Puddles
    • Tornados change the trajectory of Ice Lances
  • Wind x Lightning
    • Wind Shear fired through lightning electrifies it and shocks players
    • Lightning Strike hits a player no matter their height
    • Tornado does not affect Lightning Bolt trajectory
    • Tornados absorb Lightning Bolts and make a Lightning Tornado

    • Boulderfall blocks or redirects Wind Shear, altering its trajectory
