Should You Kill or Spare Pierre in Jagged Alliance 3

Playing through the tactical puzzles of Jagged Alliance 3 will put you before many different choices. Some are combat-related and include which strategy you need to use to have minimum casualties, while others include the storyline choices that can affect your overall experience.

What Should You Do With Pierre in Jagged Alliance 3?

Pierre is an interesting figure in Jagged Alliance 3 and he can be useful to you if you play your cards right. The basic choice of whether you should kill Pierre or not after the fighting in Fort Leau Bleu comes to these two outcomes:

1. If you kill Pierre you will get +30 Loyalty with Ernie and get to loot Pierre’s body that contains 5 diamonds, tracer assault rifle ammo, and an AK-47.
2. If you spare Pierre you will earn 10 Loyalty points with Earnie, some diamonds from Luc, and a chance to recruit Pierre later on in the game.

Pierre is a tricky character and by talking to him, everyone would probably get an instinct to kill him because he openly says that if you let him live, he will go to Le Major and most likely get orders to hunt you down and kill you. However, we think the smarter thing to do here would be to let him live.

Why Should You Let Pierre Live?

There are multiple reasons why you should let Pierre live. Not only will you get to recruit him later, but he will require no salary and is a mercenary with the best Marksmanship rating so you can count on a lot more successful headshots. Still, recruiting him won’t be available immediately after you let him live and will require a few extra steps.

To recruit Pierre, continue playing the quests of Grand Chien, and with time he will grow fond of you. During the “Reform Bastien” quest, you will get the opportunity to start recruiting Pierre and once that quest is finished he will trust you enough to join your team.
