While the original was a beauty in its own right, Dead Space 2023 is changing the game once more for what should be the bare minimum that comes with the genre. Because of these new beauty standards, many are wondering which platform to get the game on. The two that are pulling ahead though are PS5 and PC. So, which version of Dead Space should you get; PC or PS5?

Should you get the dead space remake for pc or ps5?

As someone who owns a PC, I know all too well that there’s always the unfortunate fate that PCs come to face from major AAA games. No matter who is developing it, it always seems that PC players face the hardest hits in terms of games not being well-optimized at launch. And Dead Space 2023 is no different kind of story.

Though the game is most definitely playable on PC, you aren’t going to be getting the best visual or performative experience in the first few days or weeks of the game being available. Even with things such as DLSS2/Super Resolution working properly, players are reporting a lot of stuttering and frame rate loss across the board in Dead Space.

On the PS5 side though, players are really enjoying the game, and there hasn’t been any kind of complaining about performance from them, nor from critics reviewing the game. This could be because, on consoles, the game offers Quality and Performance modes for players to choose whether they want a prettier game or one that runs smoother.

Additionally, Motive has taken the baton and ran with it, as the PS5’s DualSense controller is taken full advantage of. Dead Space 2023 offers many, many haptic features in order to fully utilize the capabilities and immersion of the DualSense controller. This feature alone pushes PS5 further in the direction of being the only real platform that players should buy Dead Space on if they have one.
