Tip 1: Make friends as your major goal first and foremost

Building up rapport and comradery with the many NPCs of Rigbarth is worth all the time and effort in doing so. Firstly, gifting NPCs their favourite items will result in some really great rewards. This happens after gifting them give times. For example, Darroch will always hand over weapons for free each time you hand over a gift to him for the fifth time. Obviously this increases their relationship meter with the player character, and that leads to them accepting whenever you invite them out onto expeditions.

You will always want to take an NPC out when exploring the fields for a number of reasons. No matter if human or as a loyal animal/pet companion, they will point out out-of-reach items that can only be obtained due to their observation. Particular characters will provide even more benefits than just this or for dungeon clearing reasons, such as Elsje.

There is a neat trick that can be done as soon as you have Elsje befriended enough to join your party. When this is done, endanger yourself in combat, until you are really low on health. Afterwards, move to a safe location during combat and wait for Elsje to throw a Royal Curry to recover your health. Instead of using this item to restore your health, sell it. The net profit of selling Royal Curry goes for 500000g.

Beware that this trick has been somewhat patched out for the version 1.07 of the Japanese version. It still works, but the curry must not touch your character as Elsje throws it, or else it will automatically just recover your health. You will need to avoid getting hit by the curry, so you can pick it up later on.

Finally, it’s worth pointing out that chatting to NPCs daily boost their relationship meter, but also an additional boost comes when simply using the Greeting Spell daily. Obtain it to raise friendship levels even quicker with one single tap of a button.

Tip 2: Know how to farm better and smarter

We think we have made our point above loud and clear so how about another tip? We will home in on the farming side of things this time. There’s a lot of tricks to learn when getting better equipped in tending to your farm space (and multiple even once you unlock the Dragon Farms). So firstly, picking up and holding items is even easier by stacking the same item on top of one another. Got too many weeds obstructing the beautiful scenery right outside your doorstep? Pick up ten of them at a time then fling them into the Fertilizer Bin!

Additionally, holding down the action button when watering your crops as you push the directional button will have the player character water much quicker. Make this entire daily chore gone in the blink of an eye whenever you are also mining in an safe area such as your farm land or Farm Dragons. To do this, simply hit all the rocks and trees in the area up to eight times. Leave the area and come back into it and the technical health bars of these sources will have refreshed so that you can keep tapping away at them for unlimited resources.

Keep food in hand or take a bath at the Inn to make the most of this tactic to accumulate resources quickly and easily. You can make the very most of this by taking baths for free before you hit level 20 as a beginner to the game. Finally, know that you are able to throw items you are holding to save even more time when placing items in the shipping bin. Tending to your farm space has never been so easy.

Tip 3: Random titbits of additional pointers

  • Do not overthink cooking or purchasing Recipe Breads. Be it for weapons or dishes, players should be able to freely feel like making up something without knowing recipes. Failed dishes have their own benefits after all, such as being thrown at enemies. It is worth buying them whenever however, especially in how the amount that can be bought refreshes daily. And even if eating the Bread does not make the player character learn something new, it does not leave your inventory space. Either option is viable.
  • Low on RP? Start up a conversation and leave your game running during it. When you return to it after a few minutes, your RP bar will be full again.
  • Buy multiple punching bags from Palmo to safely level up your combat skills in the comfort of your own room. Makes exploring all that easier!
