Should You Keep Thaen Seed Or Give It to the Queen?

After traversing through Yaesha and collecting the Thaen Seed in Remnant 2, you will have two options moving forward. You can either keep the Thaen Seed and plant it in Ward 13, or you can give it to the Red Throne Queen. Either option will give you specific rewards. However, if RPGs have taught me one thing is that keeping special items to yourself is more often than not the way to go. Nevertheless, here are the rewards for each choice:

Give the Thaen Seed to the Queen

If you choose to give the Then Seed to the Red Throne Queen, you will rewarded with a ring called The Burden of the Rebel. It will grant a 15% skill cooldown bonus as well as a 25% Relic use speed bonus. In other words, you will get to use your skills more frequently and use your Relics even faster. Additionally, all Pan Warriors will become friendly to you, alleviating some of your battle strain.

Keep the Thaen Seed and plant it in Ward 13

If you choose to keep the Thaen Seed instead you can bring it to Ward 13 and plant it. Visit it from time to time and you will notice it will start to grow. Once it fully grows into a tree, it will start producing Mature Thaen Fruit. If you eat it, you will get a free auto revive. After reviving, you will also get 30% of your total health back and you’ll be immune to all status effects for 30 seconds. You can even leave the Thaen Fruit to age and its effects will improve a bit!

While giving the Thaen Seed to the Queen seems like a good option thanks to the Pan Warriors becoming friendly and the skill and Relic bonuses, having a free auto revive with such great boosts is arguably better than the other rewards. You are better off keeping the Thaen Seed to yourself and planting it in Ward 13. Pan Warriors won’t be the worst enemy you will encounter and there are better rings you can find during your travels.
