Players can kill zombies in a variety of ways using weapons found in the environment or crafted items. One of the crafted weapons in the game useful for killing zombies is the Molotov cocktail. Project Zomboid – How to Craft a Molotov Cocktail

There are two different methods of crafting molotovs in Project Zomboid. The first requires a bottle of bourbon and either a dirty rag or a ripped sheet. The other method requires an empty bottle, a gas can, and a ripped sheet or a dirty rag.

Where to Find Materials to Craft a Molotov Cocktail

Here is how to find each crafting material used to craft Molotov Cocktails:

Bourbon: Any bar or restaurant

Empty bottle: Any house or residence

Gas can: Vehicle trunks or gas stations

Ripped sheet/Dirty rag: Use the rip clothing option in your inventory

Project Zomboid – How to Throw Molotov Cocktail

In order to throw a Molotov cocktail, first you must equip a lighter in your secondary slot. Next, equip the Molotov cocktail in the primary slot. To throw it, hold the right mouse button and aim by moving the mouse. Pressing the left mouse button will make your character throw the Molotov cocktail. Be careful once you’ve thrown it. Fire can spread very easily and quickly if you’re not careful enough.
