And while this game has unique characteristics and mechanics, these kinds of tips and tricks can be applied to games that are similar to Predecessor. However, you will certainly benefit from the below list in your first steps taken in the game. Here are some Predecessor tips and tricks for beginners:

Abilities and Characters: well, talk about meat and potatoes. Every single character in the game has abilities that are unique and fulfil a certain function. So, yeah, you will have to learn what these abilities do in order to make the best out of them. And, of course, to determine which character will fit your play style, you will need to try each one of them to pick the best of the bunch. That is the basics of every game of this genre.

Auto Buy System: the thing about a machine picking up the best items for you, is that we obviously tend to resent it initially. However, if you are beginning to play Predecessor, the amount of content can be overwhelming at first. Add that the auto buy system is pretty decent to the mix, and you have a tool that will help you during your initial run of the game.

Range and Vision: there is a mechanic that will throw some player off at first. That is the famous “fog of war” that will prevent you from seeing the enemy until you are in range. Yes, that is a thing, and initially it can be quite annoying. However, the best players of the game use the fog to their advantage to surprise the enemy players. So be strategic and get rid of them without them knowing what hit them.

Refillable Potions: be sure to heal strategically throughout your run, you will get to access your refillable potion to heal 80 damage points. You will only be able to use it twice, so maybe a scratch can wait. Be wise, heal wise.

Use Recall: I get it, when you are about to die, the natural instinct is to sprint yourself out of danger. Well, you could do that, but why would you? I mean, the game has an emergency button the recalls you to your base to heal up and stack up with everything you need to go back and cause mayhem again. Only press B when you are about to die and that’s it!
