Where to Find Munchlax in Pokemon Legends Arceus

Munchlax is a Pokemon that players have the opportunity to catch pretty early on in Pokemon Legends Arceus. It’s important to note that this is certainly a rare spawn, so there’s no guarantee you see it right away. However, it is common enough that you can definitely catch one for yourself with some patience. This guide will show you where to find Munchlax and how to catch one for yourself in Pokemon Legends Arceus.

Munchlax shows up near the Deertrack Heights area, west of Heights Camp, in the Obsidian Fieldlands. Deertrack Heights is the second area you will unlock in Obsidian Fieldlands, so it’s possible to catch one very early on.

Two Pokemon can spawn in this area: Kricketot and Munchlax. Kricketot is the more common spawn, so you will likely see this Pokemon show up in the area most times. You can scare away the Kricketot by capturing them or defeating them in battle. Doing this opens up the spawn points so that a Munchlax has the chance to spawn into its place.

After clearing the zone of Kricktots, you can teleport back to Heights Camp by opening up your map and tapping on the base. Doing this resets the Pokemon spawns, so now there’s a chance Munchlax shows up in Kricketot’s place. Munchlax has about a 4% chance during the day and an 8% chance during the night to show up. The bad thing about the night spawns is that Zubat can also show up.

How to Catch Munchlax

Now that you know where to find Munchlax and the process to make one spawn, how do you catch one? Travel from the Heights Camp back to the area, and check for Munchlax. If other Pokemon are in the location, take them out again and repeat the process. However, you will eventually find a Munchlax in the Kricketot spawn point by doing this enough times.

You can catch Munchlax as you would any other Pokemon. It’s not a very high-level Pokemon, so you can just toss any Poke Ball its way without even doing a back strike and have a good chance of getting it. The Munchlax in Obsidian Fieldlands
