For as long as human civilization has been a thing, grains have been a vital staple food. Whether you’re making bread in the west or rice in the east, you gotta have your grains to fill your belly. There’s plenty of grain around in the Hisui region of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, but there’s a fine line between the basic stuff and the really good stuff. Here’s where to find Hearty Grains in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Not long after you gain access to the Crimson Mirelands, Choy, the owner of Jubilife Village’s lone general store, has a request for you, entitled “Getting Ahold of New Wares.” It seems Choy has some bad blood with the head of the Galaxy Team’s Supply Corps, Tao Hua, which is making it exceptionally difficult to get any new products in the store. However, Choy knows that Tao Hua’s been going crazy trying to source some Hearty Grains, so if you can bring him 3 stalks, that should loosen him up enough to give Choy some new inventory (which you, in turn, can purchase).
Where to Find Hearty Grains in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Hearty Grains can be found within the Golden Lowlands, located a short walk from the Mirelands Camp, the first base camp established in the Crimson Mirelands. There are long, golden stalks of grain growing from the ground all over the place, but they’re too wispy to be what you’re looking for.
The Hearty Grain stalks are usually sticking out of the ground next to the Mirelands’ various small ponds and puddles. If you see any yellow spots near their shores, take a closer look, and you may find some. Alternatively, look for the piles of hay with green sprouts sticking out of the top. You can have a Pokemon smash these like ore deposits, and they frequently have Hearty Grains within.
Once you’ve got at least three stalks of Hearty Grains, return to Jubilife Village and head to Galaxy Hall. Tao Hua’s room is in the basement, which may not have visited yet; just go down the left hall from the entrance and you should see the staircase leading down. Give Tao Hua the stalks to make him happy, and he’ll send Choy over some new inventory. Go talk to Choy at the general store to complete his request and access his newly expanded shop.
