Sound Effects

Next, you will want to make sure your in-game sound effects are at the max. Every time a Shiny Pokemon is nearby, you will hear an audio cue that lets you know it. Even if you don’t see the Pokemon with your eyes, you will hear a twinkling sound. Obviously, it helps if you are wearing headphones for this, but you should be able to hear it as long as your sound is turned up. When you hear the noise, be on the lookout for a nearby Shiny.

Save Files

The nice thing about getting a Shiny in Pokemon Legends Arceus is that the game will save its state when one is nearby. If you mess up and the Pokemon gets away, you can reload your save file and try again! No need to worry about failing to catch one. We recommend turning off autosave in the game settings and manually saving the moment you hear the Shiny audio cue. You can then reload from that save state if you fail to catch the Shiny.

Catch Shiny Pokemon in Mass Outbreaks

Mass Outbreaks are events that begin happening after a specific point in the game. The guard Ress will let you know he’s been hearing reports of mass outbreaks. At that point, you can open your map and look for the Mass Outbreaks. Each Mass Outbreak will feature a species of Pokemon. The Pokemon will spawn non-stop in that area for around 15 minutes until the Outbreak ends. The Shiny rates are drastically increased during this time, allowing you to catch one easily!
