Y’know, it’s strange; Woobat’s heart-shaped nose is its most prominent feature, but according to the PokéDex, it doesn’t really have anything to do with its mannerisms. It’s not a love Pokémon or anything, it just… has a heart-shaped nose. Though, the Dex does say that having a Woobat leave its nose mark on your skin is a sign of good luck, so I guess that’s as good a reason as any to train one up. Here’s how to evolve Woobat in Pokémon GO.
In the mainline Pokémon games, Woobat evolved into Swoobat when levelled up with a high friendship level. While we don’t have friendship levels in Pokémon GO, we do have something similar: Buddies! Yep, if you want your Woobat to grow big and strong, you gotta take it for a walk with you.
How to Evolve Woobat in Pokémon GO
Here is how to evolve Woobat in Pokémon GO:
- Catch or trade enough Woobats to earn 50 Woobat Candy
- Make a Woobat your Buddy and walk at least 1km with it, cumulatively
- When you’ve walked enough, check Woobat’s page for the Evolution button
Before you get into Woobat cardio, you’ll first need to collect some candy. Specifically, you’ll need 50 Woobat Candy, obtained either through catching additional Woobats or trading them with friends. Remember, there’s double Candy until the end of October, so it’s a great time to grind!
Once you’ve got the Candy, make the Woobat you want to evolve your Buddy. You’ll need to walk at least 1 kilometer with the Woobat, though it all counts cumulatively so you don’t have to walk that whole way in one shot.
Once you’ve walked that kilometer and obtained the Candy, check Woobats stats, and you should see the option to evolve it into Swoobat.
