The new season of Modern Warfare Warzone 2.0 is upon us. With its update released on February 15th sees a new map, Ashika Island for players to sink their teeth into. With a new season comes new details and patch notes. One of the latest additions to the game are new weapons for players to get their hands on. Likely to be incredibly powerful within the first few weeks of Season 2. The latest weapons feel like a throwback to older Call of Duty games, with a feeling of nostalgia for Black Ops Gun Game. These are the newest additions to the roster of Warzone 2.0 weapons. What will you use?

ISO Hemlock

The latest Assault Rifle to be added onto the field. The Hemlock will likely be the most popular newest addition to Season 2, in the hands of the majority of the players. As the meta shifts, new guns become the most powerful and viable option to use. That is until the inevitable nerf appears for the new patch update. However, the Hemlock is an interesting addition with the ability to use two types of ammunition. With the 5.56 and subsonic .300 BLK available for use. Allowing for players to remain at the top of the game by looting standard. It is unlikely that you will fall out of the fight with the natural advantages of holding two sets of ammunition.

KV Broadside

The latest Shotgun is the KV Broadside, being a powerful and fast firing semi-auto weapon. Summarised as the fastest firing Shotgun, the Broadside will be a game changer. Especially inside a close combat setting. So watch out for those corners as the Broadside will destroy anyone within a two meter radius. The only downside to running a Shotgun as your primary is the openness of Ashika Island. However, for those who regularly fit inside buildings and utilize cover whilst moving in on a team, this will be the go to gun to use.

Players should use the Broadside to perfectly third-party over teams. As it is a gun which requires you to get in close, players should not be afraid to take on any fight. This is the gun to use for those who want to send everything and everyone on the field.

Dual Kodachis

For the hyper aggressive players looking to overwhelm other players on the field, this one is for you. The Dual Kodachis is a new melee style weapon. Any weapon which is dual is something worth trying. However, do not use this new weapon if you do not have a highly aggressive playstyle. But, imagine a setting where you have this weapon as a full squad, running the Kodachis and a Riot Shield to evade bullets. This thing may become unstoppable. However, at the same time it could promote camping. Let us see how it fares on the field first. With fantastic range, its downside comes with a slower strafe speed. Not only this but, players will move slower with these equipped.

These cons are in place clearly because the Kodachis are far too powerful if speed was available. However, if you holster your weapon to get close and bring these out at the last moment, you will likely overwhelm the opposition.

Crossbow

A weapon that is both silent and heavy-hitting could be the next hit in Warzone 2.0. However, its flaws may lie within its unique ammunition. Being something that is new to the game, it will likely be used through the opening of Season 2, meaning players may struggle to obtain the necessary ammunition without Munitions Boxes. However, its bolts are indeed recoverable. So if you take out a team and successfully fight off any third parties, you can swoop in and recover any ammunition. Not only this but, the Crossbow is undetectable by Trophy Systems. This item may require accuracy to fully utilize its capabilities but inside a building, the Crossbow will be lethal.

A weapon of nostalgia for those who played Gun Game in the Black Ops II days, the Crossbow may see the addition of explosive bolts added in the near future. With semtex qualities of sticking onto enemies, the Crossbow could be the most lethal gun in the game, if they decide to make further adjustments.

How to Obtain the New Weapons for Season 2

The new weapons can only be obtained via the Battlepass, however the Crossbow is obtained by completing the 7 Challenges as part of the Path of the Ronin Event. In which players can also obtain the Ronin Operator Skin. These are also purchasable inside the Store Bundle for the Ronin Event in Season 2.
