This year’s NBA 2K22 is filled with new and exciting quests, most of which are relatively easy to accomplish on your own. With that being said, there are a few other challenges hidden throughout the game that are a little more difficult to figure out. Not the least of which includes how to put on a unique outfit in NBA 2K22.
While the game of basketball is still very much the focal point of NBA 2K22, there’s an age-old saying in sports; “look good, feel good, play good.” That is why it’s so important to explore all the available outfits in 2K and test out the different styles you have at your disposal.
How to put on a unique outfit in NBA 2K22
One of NBA 2K22’s most recent quests, and undeniably one of the more challenging to figure out, is a fashion quest tagged “You Gotta Start Somewhere,” in which your player will need to put on a unique outfit.
As of right now, this quest is only available on next-gen consoles throughout The City, but we’re hoping that current-gen consoles receive a similar quest in the future. For those next-gen players, we’re here to help guide you through this (somewhat) confusing process:
- Activate the “You Gotta Start Somewhere: See and Be Seen” quest under the Quests screen. If the quest is unavailable, then meet with Ricky instead to talk about increasing your fashion brand. At which point, the quest “Put On A Unique Outfit” will be active.
- While this may prompt you to go to your clothing menu, it’s likely that you don’t have the unique outfit for the quest. Instead, you will need clothes related to your “Affiliation” with the game, so you will need to go to the Affiliation store first.
- Once you’re at the Affiliation store, you can buy any gear that you see. For this, it’s widely recommended to go with some cheap gear to get you through the quest. While you could “swag out” and get some more extravagant gear, this isn’t necessary.
- Once you’ve purchased the clothing, go to your menu, and put it on your MyPlayer, and you will have completed the quest.
If you successfully complete the “Put On A Unique Outfit” quest, you’ll also receive additional MVP Points and Fashion Points to help you further progress your player through The City.
