SS-tier

Vulcan

Vulcan is an incredible weapon. With the highest power and range and explosive bolts, you can incinerate any horde or elite giving you trouble. An essential for any boss fight, this weapon’s only drawback is that it consists of only 2 bolts before a reload, which may overwhelm players constantly needing to time the quick-reload. However, simply equip the Ghost Rounds III Sigil, and this weapon becomes unmatchable. Ten initial rounds with a 16x fury will demolish any threat. The concise accuracy and long range also means you can snipe Lesser Seraphs from the sky with ease.

S-tier

The Hounds

The Hounds will always find a way into my load-out. Quick, efficient, precise, and powerful, these pistols allow you to snipe enemies at range, or swiftly take out Marionettes as they rush towards you. If ever my primary isn’t cut for a situation, The Hounds will definitely have my back.

Being able to make Cambions vulnerable after two perfect hits, and one-tapping Marionettes, this weapon allows the player to get rid of those pesky stragglers or those at a distance. And against tougher opponents and elites, this weapon will take them out at range, especially if you time your beats right.

A-tier

Paz

That’s right. The weakest weapon in the entourage gets put in A-tier. If we regard Paz in terms of being a damage-dealing weapon, then he instantly gets last place. But Paz is much more than a weapon to merely fell foes. He is a tool.

Paz will prime Marionettes for Slaughter, giving you the ability to have portable Styx Crystals. You will hardly be short of health with the amount of Marionettes they throw at you with Paz around. Paz also crystallizes enemies, which may not be the best ultimate, but it definitely has its uses when you can shatter all of the crystallized enemies with one on-beat hit. And that’s not to mention that Paz can and will help you maintain your fury even with no enemies about. For those reasons, Paz deserves A-tier.

B-tier

Persephone

Ah, Persephone. When I first got you, I thought nothing would outmatch the sheer brute force of your regular bullets, let alone your ultimate. This is a weapon for those moments when you’ve had just enough of the Marionettes, when you want to quickly take care of those Cambions, and when you want to spam loads of slaughtering rounds into that Behemoth.

However, Persephone gets outmatched by Vulcan with Ghost Rounds III. If you don’t wish or don’t have the Ghost Rounds sigil, then Persephone’s powerful ultimate and ammo capacity may be a competitor to the Vulcan that requires constant perfect timing.

C-tier

Terminus

You may be surprised to see this weapon so far down on the list, and honestly, so am I. Terminus is incredibly powerful and reliable, but with the other weapons, sometimes I forget it exists.

The Terminus’ ultimate is one of the best and most powerful in the game, and is something to really pay more attention to. But you have to use the weapon to get there, and there are others with more utility that I’d rather use. Sorry not sorry.

D-tier

Hellcrow

The Hellcrow are effectively a couple of boomerangs. A ranged weapon with no reload, you could slice through an enemy four times in the space of two quick beats.

It may sound great, and honestly it is a good weapon, but its range hinders it a lot. It is a decent weapon for slashing through crowds, but other weapons do it better, and this weapon shouldn’t even cross your mind when it comes to fighting tougher opponents with how close you have to get for half-decent damage.
