Y’know, when I heard Marvel Midnight Suns was going to be a tactical game in a similar vein to XCOM, I wasn’t really sure what to think. Honestly, I’m still not sure, but hey, if Mario and the Rabbids can make the tactical thing work, I don’t see why a gaggle of Marvel superheroes can’t. Speaking of, who’s coming along on this little trip of ours? Here’s a list of characters appearing in the Marvel Midnight Suns game.
Just to clarify, since this game was only just recently announced, we don’t have a complete scope of its characters just yet. All we have to go on is the characters that appeared in the announcement trailer, though there’s certainly no shortage of names in that department.
So far, these are the characters that are confirmed to be appearing in Marvel Midnight Suns.
Marvel Midnight Suns Game Characters
- Doctor Strange
- Nico Minoru
- Ghost Rider (specifically Robbie Reyes, rather than Johnny Blaze)
- Captain America
- Captain Marvel
- Iron Man
In addition to all of these Marvel mainstays, players will be creating their own customizable protagonist character known as “The Hunter.” Apparently, The Hunter is the child of the game’s main villain, Lilith, summoned from out of a large, ornate coffin in the trailer by Doctor Strange and Nico Minoru.
Fun fact, the name of the game is a direct reference to the Midnight Sons, a tertiary Marvel team composed of supernaturally-inclined heroes like Doctor Strange, Blade, and Ghost Rider. While obviously nothing has been confirmed, if more characters were to show up in Midnight Suns, it’s a decent bet that there’ll be a couple of picks from the Midnight Sons. Personally, I’ve got my fingers crossed for Morbius the Living Vampire and Moon Knight. They do both have movies in the pipeline…
