The big announcement for the official Madden 22 player and team ratings is currently set for the week of July 26th, 2021. So, with just over a month left before the official reveal, it’s time to break down our predictions for the official Madden 22 Rookie Ratings.

Madden 22 Rookie Rating Predictions

One of the most anticipated Madden reveals is always the rookie ratings. With a stellar class consisting of Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, and Zach Wilson (to name a few), there’s even more hype for this year’s Madden 22 rookie ratings.

Considering this, we have predicted the 10 rookies who we believe will carry the best rookie ratings in Madden 22 and made our picks for what their Madden rating will look like.

  1. Trevor Lawrence – Being the top pick in the draft, and one of the best prospects in history coming out of college, we should expect Lawrence to carry the top Madden rating. Although, I wouldn’t expect anything outrageous knowing Madden, so it will likely be just under that of Andrew Luck’s 83 overall. Therefore, we believe the Jags’ QB will have a rating of 82
  2. Kyle Pitts – Pitts was one of the biggest talents in 2020, and one of only a handful of TE’s that have been drafted in the top 5 of the NFL draft. He’s already shown to be a next-level TE with sky-high potential, so we should expect Pitts to have a Madden rating around 81
  3. Patrick Sewell – Outside of skill position players, Sewell could be the most talented player in the entire draft, and one of the scariest offensive lineman we’ve seen in years. Another player with tremendous potential, Sewell should be able to land an 80 overall.
  4. Justin Fields – As we look into the rest of the QB class, Justin Fields is likely the most battle-tested, and is in the best position with a top-ranked defense, and multiple offensive weapons. Expect Fields to be rewarded with a Madden rating of 78
  5. Ja’Marr Chase – Chase is one of the most NFL-ready receivers from this year’s draft, and teaming him up with his old college teammate Joe Burrow is a recipe for success. Don’t be shocked to see Chase land a Madden rating of 78 as Burrow’s top option.
  6. Zach Wilson – Wilson blew scouts away with his incredible performance at BYU and stunning display in pre-draft workouts. However, he also carries some question marks and has had less time as a starter compared to other QB prospects. Regardless, we should expect to see Zach Wilson land a Madden rating of 77
  7. Trey Lance – Trey Lance stole the show sliding into the top 3 of the 2021 NFL draft, but many still see him as a bit of an unknown. Having played only one game last season for North Dakota State, Lance may be one of the lower-rated lottery picks in recent years. Expect Lance to be handed a Madden rating of 76
  8. Patrick Surtain II – Surtain is easily the most polished defensive back in the draft and has shown that he can guard any position on the field. However, there are concerns over his change of direction speed, but we should still see him earn a Madden rating of 76
  9. Jaylen Waddle – Waddle is set up beautifully down in Miami with his old Alabama QB, Tua Tagovailoa. He’s already positioned to be the team’s #1 option and carries the natural talent to excel in the NFL. Waddle should land a Madden rating somewhere around a 75
  10. Micah Parsons – Parsons was without a doubt one of the best pass rushers in the NFL draft and can easily play behind the line of scrimmage (in coverage) as well. We believe that his diverse skill set, and aggressive style of play should earn him a Madden rating of 75
