As with every year, EA Sports has officially announced who they believe will be the winner of this highly-anticipated matchup in Super Bowl LVI by simulating the game on Madden 22. You can read more on the results below.

Madden 22 Predicts Super Bowl LVI Winner

In Madden 22’s simulation of the 2022 Super Bowl, they predict that the 4.5-point underdog, Cincinnati Bengals, will overcome the Rams’ high-powered offense and take home the Lombardi. The simulation predicts that the Bengals will claim a narrow victory over the Rams late in the game and win the Super Bowl 24-21, led by their superstar quarterback, Joe Burrow.

Burrow ends up throwing two touchdown passes for 317 yards on 32 of 44 pass completions, doing so much as to secure the Super Bowl MVP award, becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to win the Heisman, College Football National Championship, and Super Bowl.

In the first quarter, the game starts with the Bengals jumping out to an early lead with a 10-yard touchdown pass to rookie receiver Ja’Marr Chase. The Rams bounce back to take a 14-7 lead at halftime after a 4-yard touchdown run from Sony Michel and a 32-yard bomb from Rams’ Matthew Stafford to Cooper Kupp. Even though Kupp ends up finishing the game with 12 catches and over 100 yards, Cincinnati completely takes the game over in the second half on the way to a nail-biting finish.

The second half starts off with another big play made by the Bengals’ cornerback, Eli Apple, in the third quarter. Apple ends up picking off Stafford and running it into the endzone for a touchdown to tie the game up at 14-14 going into the final quarter of play.

Cincinnati’s Tee Higgins then scores a pivotal fourth-quarter touchdown to give the Bengals’ a 21-14 lead. Only for the Rams to march back with an 18-yard touchdown catch by Odell Beckham Jr. to tie the game up at 21-21 with just minutes remaining.

The game ends with the rookie kicker, Evan McPherson, knocking home (yet another) clutch late-game field goal to win the game and secure the Bengals’ first Super Bowl in franchise history.

Whether this prediction by EA Sports’ Madden 22 will come to fruition remains a mystery, but it seems foolish to continue doubting what Joe Burrow and the Bengals are capable of.
