What are Bifrosts in Lost Ark?

Everything you need to know about the Bifrost system in Lost Ark

Bifrost is a word from Norse Mythology that is basically a rainbow bridge that connects Earth and Asgard. Lost Ark, being a fantasy game, borrows this term and incorporates it as a form of travel to help players get around Arkesia. This guide will explain how Bifrost works in Lost Ark and give a quick rundown on using them and unlocking more.

What are Bifrosts in Lost Ark?

A Bifrost allows you to move to a save point in Lost Ark. It is essentially another means to travel around quickly throughout Arkesia. Like the Song of Return, which some players may compare to a hearthstone in World of Warcraft, the Bifrost can instantly teleport you to an area. By default, all players have one Bifrost or save point that they can assign to anywhere in the world.

Bifrost Lost Ark

You can mark a Bifrost point to literally anywhere in Arkesia, with the exception of Strongholds. To access your Bifrost menu, you can press ALT+W or check under the Adventure tab on the bottom right of the screen while in-game. You can save your Bifrost location from this menu, and change the memo under each location to help you remember why you set it.

How to get more Bifrost in Lost Ark

There are two ways to get more Bifrosts in Lost Ark:

  1. Crystalline Aura
  2. Ignea Tokens

Crystalline Aura

Crystalline Aura subscribers get an additional two Bifrosts unlocked automatically. As you can imagine, this comes in handy, allowing players to teleport freely to two additional locations anywhere in Arkesia. Considering the sheer number of islands, it may be a good idea to set these in major territories like North Vern, Shushire, Rohendel, Yorn, or any of the major continents. Place them strategically so you can cut down on sailing time between islands.

You can set your Bifrost to the same point as your Song of Return. Doing this gets you two fast travels to the same spot without waiting for the entire 60-minute cooldown of the Song of Return. If you have more Bifrosts available, you can even set them all to one place! As opposed to Song of Return, the Bifrost cooldown is two hours. You can bypass the cooldown, but it will cost you resources in the form of Crystals.

Ignea Tokens

Ignea Tokens can be exchanged for Bifrost Keys. The only way to obtain an Ignea Token is by getting 100% completion in a given area. Once you complete every quest and objective possible in an area, you will obtain an Ignea Token.
