Learn how to get the Steadfast Capital Ship in Lego Star Wars.

Remember the big honkin’ Star Destroyer ship that flies in front of the screen in Star Wars Episode 4? Y’know, right at the beginning of the movie? Wouldn’t it be awesome to drive one of those things? Well, thanks to Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, now you can! Well, technically, it’s a Resurgent-Class Star Destroyer, which isn’t exactly the same thing, but hey, tomayto-tomahto. Here’s how to unlock the Steadfast Capital Ship in Lego Star Wars.

The Steadfast is a Resurgent-Class Star Destroyer filed under the Capital Ship category and the personal flagship of Kylo Ren. Like the other major vessels in Lego Star Wars, if you encounter it out in space, you’ll be tasked with taking it over and taking it down, and if you can successfully do so, you’ll reveal it for purchase and unlocking, which will allow you to drive it around in space yourself. Free advice before you get invested in this, though, while you just have to defeat the vessel to reveal it, unlocking it will cost you a cool 3 million Studs, so you’ll have to do some grinding first.

How to Unlock the Steadfast Capital Ship in Lego Star Wars

To Unlock the Steadfast Capital Ship in Lego Star Wars, you need to:

  1. Idle around Catonica, Exegol, Jakku, or Pasaana space until the Steadfast encounter begins
  2. Shoot down the fighters and outer defenses to enter the ship
  3. Take out the Stormtroopers in the hangar
  4. Break the red shield by smashing the boxes in front of it with a turret or Force Influence
  5. Defeat Captain Swarton
  6. Defeat the real Captain Swarton in an AT-AT
  7. Purchase the Steadfast for 3 million Studs

To find the Steadfast in space, just leap to the areas around Catonica, Exegol, Jakku, or Pasaana. If you just hang out in the vacuum for a little while, the Steadfast will eventually warp in and start antagonizing you. If it doesn’t show up, get into a fight with some smaller vessels to draw attention, or just jump to a different part of space to try again.

Once you’re in combat with the Steadfast, you’ll first need to shoot down its defenses so you can safely board. This isn’t too hard; it’s just got a few fighters buzzing around it and some turrets on top. Blast all of the defenses away, and you’ll enter the ship.

Captain Swarton will sick a gaggle of Stormtroopers on you, so just take them out in whatever way you see fit. Don’t forget to hide behind cover if you need to, as there will be a lot of these guys. Once the Stormtroopers are dealt with, head down the corridor, defeating more Stormtroopers and trashing turrets as you go. You’ll come up to a red laser wall with some more Stormtroopers behind it. There are two ways you can get past this:

  • Use a Protocol Droid like C3PO to control the turrets from a nearby terminal and have them blast the door open
  • Use a Jedi or Sith and use Force Influence to have one of the Stormtroopers blast the door open

Past the laser wall, you’ll be confronted by Captain Swarton and still more Stormtroopers. Defeat the Captain the same way you would any normal opponent, only to learn that they aren’t the real Captain Swarton. Return to the hangar to find the real Captain Swarton, who will board an AT-AT to take you on. There’s a laser turret on the far side of the hangar, so just jump in there and you can make short work of the AT-AT.

Congratulations, you’ve conquered the Steadfast! It’ll now appear under the Capital Ships section of the character menu, where it can be unlocked for 3 million Studs.
