How to Skip Cutscenes in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Players can skip some cutscenes, but there is no way to know for sure which ones can and cannot be skipped. In any given cutscene, press and hold the Y button on Xbox or the Triangle button on PS4/PS5 to see if it’s one you can bypass.

This can be frustrating, especially for players who call themselves completionists, but as of now, this is the best available option. At least until developer TT Games patches in a method of skipping all cutscenes.

So, it might not be easy to skip all cutscenes. But, if you’re looking for a more traditional Lego Star Wars experience, consider toggling ‘Mumble Mode.’ Mumble Mode changes all recorded dialogue to mumbles and grumbles, much like the Lego Star Wars of old. To enable this mode, follow these steps:

  • In either free-play or story mode, open your holoprojector using either the view button (Xbox), touchpad (PS) or minus button (Switch).
  • Head to the EXTRAS menu designated by a question mark icon.
  • Select DATACARDS, and you’ll see a list of every modifier, cheat, or bonus in the game.
  • Scroll to MUMBLE MODE and follow the prompt to enable it.

Lego Star Wars: the Skywalker Saga released on April 5 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. In this new version of the classic franchise, play through the scenarios of all nine Star Wars films with the unique brand of whimsical humor that can only be found in LEGO Star Wars.
